It is my contention that Mary and all the saints, but especially Mary, by virtue of being closer to Christ. Can pray much better than I can, therefore I believe, and I think the teaching of the Church supports me in this, that when Mary or any of the other saints join their prayers to mine, those prayers are more efficacious.
To me, failing to seek the assistance of Mary and the saints is similar to a situation when you have a task to do and several people available to help you, but you insist on refusing the assistance they are offering.
Christ said that where two are three are gathered he is there.
If I pray with/through Mary, I automatically have two.
Finally, a devotion to Mary will lead you no where but to the feet of her Son. She could lead you nowhere else. From the beginning, she told the servants at the wedding, “Do whatever He tells you.”
