Hello everybody,
I just posted here:

And after that I noticed there was a place for prayer intentions.
So briefly I discovered about Kent Hovind only few days ago, and I thank God for him because though he’s not (yet) a catholic, I agree with him on Creation and I think he’s perfectly catholic on this point and I love God’s Word and Genesis and I hate all lukewarm and hypocrite interpretation.
I also love justice and I already suspected that he could be persecuted for the good job he does for Christ, as we know we all shall be. My opinion on this was strengthened reading things like this:

He already served disproportionate almost 10 years in jail for alleged financial crime, and he faces more jail for less crime (if ever there was) in a new trial scheduled on tomorrow Monday 2nd March. So I felt inspired to fast and pray the Rosary for him at least tonight and tomorrow, and more if I can.
Please every catholic out there who loves Justice, God’s Word, Genesis and literal interpretation, which according to the Catechism and St Thomas Aquinas is the basis of every good interpretation, join me to implore from Merciful God Kent Hovind’s release, conversion, and even greater empowerment for further even greater work for God and the salvation of souls in the future !

I mean, I’m sure he appreciates the prayers. But he’s pretty super strictly anti-Catholic. KJV-only, Rapture end-times, supports Jack Chick, etc.
 
Hi Rhubarb, I saw a bit of Kent Hovind’s anti-Catholic opinions. I think there would be a lot of interesting to say on this. It is not the place, but just for a hint:
  • on KJV only, I think it is for sure the best protestant bible available, and if we look at the reasons Kent Hovind defend it, I mean the bad translations or removal of certain verses in other bibles, we can see that most of the time the KJV would agree with the standard catholic Vulgate. (Except for the lack of the deuterocanonical books, which of course is a shame. By the way they were in the original KJV edition. So it could be a good start point to draw these KJV-only protestants towards Catholicism. One more reason to pray.)
  • On rapture end-times I don’t know much, but I think at least end-times is just basic part of the Gospel, so nothing is more Catholic.
    Moreover, whatever opinion he may have on a lot of subjects, the core part of his teaching is Creation, which is also basic part of the Gospel and so totally Catholic.
if, as I think, Kent Hovind is not in jail for any crime but for religious reasons, I think Creation and end-times are surely main part of these reasons, and these are perfectly catholic, and even core-catholic teachings. that’s why I consider his fight as spiritually catholic and worth praying for.
Even should he be considered an enemy because of some anti-Catholic opinions, let’s pray for our enemies and we will be sons of our heavenly Father, as Jesus taught us.
So please people join, today is the big day where a big injustice is planned to happen in America against Catholic faith through a non-Catholic man who has a lot of Catholic spirit, I mean there is a lot of blood out of the body these times.
Join in and fast and pray the rosary with me for him. I did it yesterday and today and will keep on till the end of the trial. Thanks for joining and sharing it.

Here is a Medjugorje message given on march 2, the day the new trial started:
“Dear children! You are my strength. You, my apostles, who with your love, humility and silence of prayer are making it possible for one to come to know my Son. You live in me. You carry me in your heart. You know that you have a mother who loves you and who has come to bring love. I am looking at you in the Heavenly Father - your thoughts, your pains, your sufferings - and I offer them to my Son. Do not be afraid and do not lose hope, because my Son listens to his mother. I came across one of Kent’s videos where he speaks about pride coming from riches. He plays two monopoly players, one rich and one poor. And playing the poor he prays while shaking the dice: “please, Lord, send me in prison !”
I had a feeling he was playing this prayer with some kind of real desire and inner joy. Has he just been heard ? I saw several other videos where he speaks about prison.
In another video, talking about being killed for Christ, he plays saint Paul saying: “You want to kill me ? Here I am !” with a great smile, and again, some kind of realism and inner joy.

In a letter from prison, Kent asks everybody: “Keep on praying for me Acts 12:5 style.”
Acts 12,5: “So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made fervently by the church to God.”
I keep on praying fervently for his release and conversion, through the intercession of Our Lady of Medjugorje Queen of peace, Saint Peter, Saint Paul and saint Gemma Galgani.

The jury pronounced yesterday.
What I understood is that one charge of “criminal contempt of court” was retained, and the final judgment is scheduled on Friday 12th of June 2015 at 9AM. It seems that there is no limit of penalty duration for this charge, so the situation seems to be open for the best or the worse, he could be released or have some 20 years more in jail. Quite strange such an uncertainty but I couldn’t figure out better.
So it let 3 months to pray. I will keep on praying the rosary for Kent Hovind.

Dear Holy Mother Mary,
You know we pray for Kent Hovind since the beginning of his new trail in march.
Please thank Jesus for us, that we already have seen so many wonders. Kent presented a good defense. Jury said guilty on only one charge out of 4. Sentence was delayed until June 12. And finally a new trial is announced for May 18. We saw Christians praying, fasting, preaching and acting more and more every day. We can feel the Holy Spirit coming down on the people like he came on Daniel to save Susanna.
Please Holy Mary pray for us, that this new trial be for the greatest glory of God, that Kent be released in peace and that his testimony and apostolate be strengthened and enlarged and transfigured in the catholic faith.
Please Mary, pray also for the Judge Margaret Casey Rodgers, and all the other judges and attorneys in this trial. We feel deep compassion for them. You know that one of them already killed himself. Please pray for them all, that they become the grace of being merciful toward the others and toward themselves. That no one enter in despair or lose hope, but that the mercy of God and his grace be poured on everyone.
Please pray also for the Jury. They have been courageous. That they be even more enlighten, right and courageous in the next trial.
And pray also for the great number of people being in jail all around the world.
That everything turns to the salvation of the souls. And also to the strengthening of the witness of the catholic church about creation and every good catholic doctrine that Kent defends, and to a better fight against the false teachings of Satan.
Please Mary pray for us to your son Jesus Christ, who lives with the Father almighty and the Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.

(I didn’t post for a while but I have been praying during this April and Easter time.)
I studied a little more the KJV and I begin to come back from my first good impression. I must admit I knew very few about it before, I had only heard the “Kent Hovind” side. I noticed many strange details which make problem to me, so I won’t say anymore that it is a good version, and I would rather agree with Rhubarb on this. Kent challenged anybody to find some error in the KJV, so now I will answer to him on this, since I noticed some obvious translation errors, and I also found some good catholic apologetics on this.
The same for Jack Chick, I went on his site to see what it was like, and the stuff on Catholics I found it so bad.
Anyway I keep on praying for Kent Hovind. specially until the next trial scheduled on May 18th. Thanks to all who joined before and let’s keep on. God bless.
