He wasn’t trying to start a war.
So far each side has struck. And as far as we know, there has been no peace treaty agreement. If we’re not at war already, what do we call it?

Right, we eliminated the second most powerful man in Iran, and they blew up some sandy spots in the desert, after warning us they were about to do so. Iran has been attacking our interests for decades. They’re not likely to be so bold in the future.
Incompetent? Hardly,astute,very much so!
Yeah…I was being sarcastic. The Left was howling about Trump starting WWIII when in fact things appear to be calmer now than before. We can’t see the future, but Iran should surely recognize that the reaction they get from this president, should they start something, won’t be characterized by huffing and puffing.

Big protests in Iran right now, they are asking Khamenei to step down. The people are very upset about that plane being shot down. What a tragedy. Last week or maybe it’s more like the last 10 days have been some roller coaster ride and in my opinion, bigger news has happened this year than in all of 2019.

I don’t understand why Iran did not stop commercial air travel for at least up to
12 hours after they launched their missile strikes to prevent an accident like
this.

One theory is if they had stopped commercial flights that might have tipped us off. But then Iran had already telegraphed their attacks over Iraq soil.

No, they should hve stopped commercial air travel immediately after they
launched air strikes. Wasn’t the aircraft shot down within 4 hours of Iran’s attacks
on thd bases?

Maybe you’re right. Do we have a timeline on these events and when it was reported?

It’s incredibly sad… they killed a lot of their own protesters in Nov/Dec. And this plane incident is one more thing.

The leaders should step down, I guess, we can offer prayers for this.

Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada and Zelensky, President of Ukraine are being very stern concerning these matters. I mean, it affected Iran the most and then, Canada and Ukraine per passengers and plane.

And they are looking at their own liabilities in the matter among other things. Boeing should be too. As well as the insurance companies.

Unfortunately, Obama gave away the “compensation fund” plaintiffs could attach for Iran’s liabilities.
