Hi there.
I visited a parish out of town on Sunday.
The parishioners were instructed to kneel from the Procession to the First Reading.
I thought it odd that they were kneeling during the time the priest was chatting and greeting.
The confetior seemed okay on knees though.
I asked at the end, and the deacon said it was the “custom of the local parish.”
I thought kneeling was saved for worship during the liturgy.
It was really weird to be kneeling while the priest was talking.
