That may be so for you, if so God bless you but i doubt God wants this to be so for other people.because this Shroud is the greatest gift (beside the Holy Mass…) that Christ could of left us.
You read me right. THE SECOND GREATEST GIFT if not the first Christ has left us. The gifts of the spirit are just that. With respect it may it is good for us to reconsider what we have said in comparison to what we meant. you may not have meant greatest as in better than the gifts of the spirit.

I think you may be misunderstanding. No one is claiming that believing that the shroud is from the time of Jesus (all that can be reasonably ascertained actually) means you have no faith. What some has suggested is that faith cannot and should not be based on such a thing. Faith is belief without proof, and that is appropriate. Some suggested that proving the shroud came from the time of Jesus and thus could be his might strengthen faith, or bring people to faith that otherwise had none. Some of us think that that is not good reasoning. One shouldn’t need such sacramentals in order to believe or to believe more. They serve as means by which we can express our faith more fully.I don’t understand why people are saying that if you believe in the shroud then you have no faith. My faith is very strong regardless if the shroud is real or not. I dont understand why people keep trying to revolve the shroud around faith.

The Vatican continues to examine the evidence and I assume call for further testing. When and if it renders an opinion and shows the basis for that opinion, we will have a more clear understanding of how to relate to it.
