I have at least two problems with it:

(a) It’s extremely idiosyncratic, and I feel as if I’m reading a novel rather than Scripture;

(b) The Baronius Press edition makes my head ache, since the font and its size and everything else are just far too difficult for me to sit down and get cozy with.
This might also be said of the entire Latin Vulgate, as it was also largely the work of Saint Jerome. Indeed, the Knox is an Anglicised version of the Clementine Vulgate. However, idiosyncratic qualities might appear only by way of comparison with nearly all other translations, which reveal evidence of “committee-think” - usually a watering down of the text.

The Sheed & Ward editions from the late 40s and on are in an easily read font. You can find them on eBay for less than $20 in some cases.
