Ky. Dem Says Progress Kentucky Recorded McConnell

The secret recording of a Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell campaign strategy session was allegedly made by two members of Democratic super PAC Progress Kentucky, a longtime Democratic operative charged today.

Jacob Conway, who is on the executive committee of the Jefferson County Democratic Party in Kentucky, told ABC News in an interview that Shawn Reilly and Curtis Morrison admitted to him that they made the tape on Feb. 2. Conway said one of the men held the elevator while the other stood by the door of McConnell’s office and recorded the conversation.

Neither Reilly nor Morrison returned calls and emails for comment and calls and messages to Progress Kentucky also were not returned.

Should be no surprise to anybody. They are just acting like progressives. The rules are strictly optional if it interferes with them achieving their agenda.

The sorry part about this is that the media is only reacting to this story after the fact. Initially, they were right there with the “Progress ____” Superpac.
 
I hate to break this to them, however, Mitch McConnell can’t be beat by any Democrat. Ashley Judd won’t run and it’d have been slaughter. She’s said too much that’d be used against her, and odds would be against her anyway.

However, as a hardcore Republican, I wouldn’t mind replacing Ol’ Mitch with another, as long as he’s like our latest senator, I quite like him! 😉
