If he has a competent lawyer, they will not be able to charge him with being a minor in possession of a rifle. The relevant WI law has a rather interesting exception that covers his circumstances.

Does it really? Hadn’t seen that. Got a link to more info?

Another media distortion proven wrong.
Please cite the media report which stated an erroneous remark.

I think that Lake County did not want this particular ‘heater’ case; particularly since the youth is being prosecuted in another jurisdiction.

1 killed as Trump supporters, protesters clash in Portland World News
this is all horrible and I do think all or most of it is simply agitation by leftists that don’t care if people get hurt or killed or property destroyed. That kid who killed a protestor travelled into the city with his gun. It’s clear that it isn’t just left wingers looking for trouble.
Perhaps you can ask @Regular_Atheist that.

Maybe only an inaccurate side comment by one. If you look closely, Bondi was defending young master Rittenhouse. The media report says he was charged with taking a weapon across state lines. That’s accurate. Then Lake County dropped the charges.

Your post was quick to cackle about ‘media distortions’ but it was not exactly that.

No he didn’t, it says the weapon never left the state of Wisconsin and was owned by a Wisconsin resident.

So, the timeline is that he drove from Illinois to Wisconsin where someone gave him a gun. He went to Kenosha and ended up shooting three and killing two and then left and returned the gun to the person he got it from and then went back to Illinois. Yeah, totally buying that. Well, I guess we’ll be seeing someone else get charged in Wisconsin shortly if this is true.
I am failing to see a Charge.
DO we not have the right to bear arms?
Do we not have the right to defend our selves?

This kid had no business being there. 1st, where were the parents? 2nd would be what did he think was going to happen showing up to a protest with an AR15? 3rd is who gave an underage kid a rifle? 4th is where were his "battle buddy(ies) when this stuff went down? My gut says he thought he was going to look cool with a rifle and nothing was going to happen. Dont get me wrong. I believe everyone has a right to defend themselves but you dont go out of your way to do so. This is why I mind my own yard and dont go looking for trouble. But if trouble comes, then so be it.

Do you have the right to discharge your weapon into someone who is no longer a threat to you? We’ll see what the courts in Wisconsin decide.
I need to ask if you have seen the actual footage of what happened? Or this is from the articles you have read on it?

Yeah we have your cloud-cuckoo-land version and we have the video. All 4 of Kyle’s assailants attempted to attack him on video.
Wisconsin laws are weird. I would not assume that Rittenhouse was fine on that one.
He clearly falls under the 3rd exemption as he was not in violation of hunting laws and was not carrying a short-barreled rifle or shotgun.

Lol, you have not.

…A loud bang is heard
on the video, then a male shouts, “F*** you!”, then Rosenbaum appears to continue to approach
the defendant and gets in near proximity to the defendant when 4 more loud bangs are heard.
Rosenbaum then falls to the ground…
McGinnis said that the unarmed guy (Rosenbaum) was trying to get the
defendant’s gun. McGinnis demonstrated by extending both of his hands in a quick grabbing
motion and did that as a visual on how Rosenbaum tried to reach for the defendant’s gun.
Detective Cepress indicates that he asked McGinnis if Rosenbaum had his hands on the gun when
the defendant shot. McGinnis said that he definitely made a motion that he was trying to grab the
barrel of the gun. McGinnis stated that the defendant pulled it away and then raised it. McGinnis
stated that right as they came together, the defendant fired. McGinnis said that when Rosenbaum
was shot, he had leaned in (towards the defendant).

I watched the video and the kid was being chased. The first was a guy yelling at him and throwing something at him. Kyle retreated but didnt know where he was going and was blocked. the man tried grabbing the gun (not sure what sane person would do that) and was shot. After the initial killing the protesters were yelling to get the kid (Kyle) because he just shot someone (again why would you run after someone with a gun) and chased him into the street where he fell. At that time 2 protesters tried to get him (one with a gun and I think the other had a skateboard) and grab his gun again. He shot both men. No more then 10 rounds were shot during the whole exchange (3 men). But all this could have been avoided if he just stayed at home.

Are AR15 rifles allowed for hunting in Wisconsin? I know I can where I live.
