I consider a convent a sacred place. if Katie Perry does support witchcraft or the occult I would not like to see her buy it but would that break any discrimination laws in real estate?

That’s why these nuns are putting in to use some Vatican-strength attorneys for this!

Not really. The remaining sisters are being unreasonable. Back in the late 1960’s when the Sisters of the Most Holy and Immaculate Heart of Mary IMPLODED in LA, around 85% left religious life – taking most of the order’s real estate in LA with them. For these that remained (~50-60), then Cardinal Timothy Manning arranged for the archdiocese to purchase this estate for pennies on the dollar from Sir Daniel Donohue for them to live in.

The order failed to grow and it just about dead in LA today. About a half dozen sisters demand the money from the sale of the estate (which was paid for and maintained by the archdiocese) for their “retirement needs” which are already being taken care of by the archdiocese.

Whether the estate become a private home or a B&B/restaurant makes no difference. The current Archbishop of LA has an extremely difficult job cleaning up the sins (many financial) of yesteryear…

If Katy Perry has the name Jesus tattooed on her arm then she must be a true believer. Leave her alone!

Thanks for the backstory. 🙂 I don’t really know what to say about any of that, but it’s very interesting.

They don’t sound like any of the nuns I’ve ever known, put it that way.
