MANILA, Philippines - De La Salle University (DLSU) president Armin Luistro will be the education secretary when president-elect Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III formally assumes office on June 30.
CBCPNews, the official news service provider of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), reported yesterday that Luistro has accepted the offer to head the Department of Education (DepEd).
Aquino said yesterday that he would announce his choices for the remaining Cabinet positions by Tuesday, a day before his inauguration as the 15th president of the Republic.
