Which is probably more accurate. Arabs tend to be brown but Jews tend to be of a lighter complexion but with a slight olive tone. So, yes, the Irish, East Asian, or Black African looking Jesus is silly but the common image is probably not too far off.

That’s ture. European Jews are pretty much white. The Jews in the middle east take on there olive tone…because there in the Middle East!

You seem to be saying this is not important. I have my own theological position- I am trying to view how others think about it.

U r correct. I am saying this is not important.

My understanding of Christianity is that it is not about men vs women but about ordinary pple trascending the human limits to become like God.

The problem is, we must understand what the whole “God made man in His image…” thing means.

From the Catechism-

370 In no way is God in man’s image. He is neither man nor woman. God is pure spirit in which there is no place for the difference between the sexes. But the respective “perfections” of man and woman reflect something of the infinite perfection of God: those of a mother and those of a father and husband.

God doesn’t have testicles just as the Holy Spirit doesn’t have feathers. God chose to reveal Himself in the male personal pronoun. God chose to be made incarnate in the man Jesus Christ-a male. Therefore, there is nothing lacking in the theology of the Trinity. The idea that there should be some humanly projected concept of “femininity” in the Most Holy Trinity is a modernist/feminist heresy.
