It’s too bad because she has such a devoted “monster” following and while it is easy to realize what she says is irrelevant and we all can laugh about here, she misleads others and has turned away from her faith and done everything possible to mock it and promote homosexuality.
Yes. And this is the saddest part of the story. Whether we care to recognize it or not…she is hugely popular… with millions of the world’s youth hanging on her every action and comment. The children will believe what she has to say before they will believe what their parents tell them…or their priests…or even the Sacred Scriptures/Holy Tradition.

Lord have mercy on her soul.

And to all the gay people here. May you live and love each other until the end of time. And I hope you will have the human right to breed as an entirely equal, valuable and special member of society

What does she mean by ‘breed?’ 2 people of the same gender can not procreate

She is misguided. She blaspehemes Catholic iconography in many of her her music music, her lyrics are obscene and graphic. I advise you to stay away from her music
Yeah, “breed” was an odd choice of words. Hard to know what she was thinking in that one.

PSY does not approve of her idiocy. 😃
Oh, and here’s something for Lady Gaga. 😃

👍 :rotfl:

(BTW, as a German, His Holiness knows about the good stuff… I’d hate to see what kind of penance he’d dole out to someone who copped to drinking Budweiser, Schlitz or, shudder Pabst…)

And more seriously, she’s a spoiled, narcissistic, pretentious media creation. As with so many others, she’ll get devouered by the fame machine sooner or later. Wait five years and she’ll be on the same ashheap of irrelevancy as Tiffany or Paula Abdul.

Gaga was panned in the British media recently. Apparently many of her fans are losing ‘faith’ in her. She is looking “overweight” now according to one rather cheeky journalist who used to be a fan and like a “woman who is past her prime” and “whose star is falling fast”.

In her latest tour she horrendously said out loud in front of thousands of teens that “cannabis has changed my life, and been a very spiritual experience for me”. She appeared with cannanis leafs on her jumper. It is a desperate attempt at media grabbing - but the media hardly noticed. The media doesn’t comment on her hardly at all any longer, and Gags knows this and is terrified of losing her quick fame.

She is a sad young woman, without much going for her apart from fame - apparently she never “fitted in” at school. She has been swept up in a tide of fame, with so much praise, thinking everyone loves her and now the fickle media are starting to turn against her, dropping her like a sledge-hammer.

I can see where Gaga will end up. She needs our prayers more than anything/

Let’s see who is more irrelevant: Lady Gaga has, lets say, to be safe, 5 million fans. How many people are in the Catholic Church, and accept the Pope as their leader? 1.196 billion. Even acknowledging the fact that many of that number are not active Catholics that’s a huge difference to me.

Hmm… seems someone is a little bit less irrelevant than the other one.

Blessed Lord, have mercy on us and on all musicians who are enmeshed in sexual perversion and occultism.

Blessed Mother, pray for all Lady Gaga and all Catholic school students of the late 20th century, whose faith has been destroyed by Modernist teachers.

Saint Peter, pray for Pope Benedict, that he may appeal to the hearts of young lost Catholic Christians.
Amen.

I agree, and many of these comments insulting her are simply giving attention to that which deserves little.

I mean is her comment even worth anthing more than a 🤷

No need to be mean about it.
I know. We’re talking about some interviewer looking to stir things up by presenting her with comments from the pope and then asking for her response. Predictably, she disagrees. And yet for some reason it draws headlines. 🤷

That the reporter says she “blasted the pope as irrelevant” (his words, not Lady Gaga’s) doesn’t help. Of course Catholics are going to get defensive when you phrase it so strongly. What she actually said stikes me as a fair bit milder. It seemed more like an observation that the cultural tide is shifting in favor of gay marriage. She’s not really wrong about that.

Well yes but we don’t even have to take it that far.

This is a pop singer making a comment about the Vicar of Christ.

It’s her “schtik”.

To even respond with a snide comparison between the two individuals and address what she says gives attention to the utterly silly point she is attempting to make.

Some posters are coming across like little kids here. The Pope is well, the Pope. That he IS relevant is kind of . . . . . . obvious.

There’s nothing to defend and there’s certainly nothing to insult anyone over.

She needs a lot of prayer, and sacrifice on her behalf. She’s misguided, deeply confused, but I think she’s generally a very kind soul. She’s risking losing that soul forever.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend her in battle.
👍

…and yet, in 10 years there will be a Pope but no Lady Ga-Ga.
But there will be another Gaga/Madonna/Sinead, etc. They are a reflection of a culture that desires to be free of God, even if that enslaves them to sin.

I don’t care, she’s just some singer

As I write this, the solo from “Layla” is playing on my iTunes and earlier I listened to the Who and the Rolling Stones. God bless good music

Once all of the fame and fortune have turned on her, God will remain.
Perhaps she will turn to him then.

She has my prayers.

On another message forum I participate in, there is a poster who has a tagline:

“God is dead…Nietzsche. Nietzsche is dead…God”

Seems somehow appropriate here.
