The rugby tourment in Manchester is named after Mathew Bingham a gay rugby player… who helped take down the 9/11 flight that crashed rather than hitting a target

And I am sorry for your loss. I find it interesting to note, that he died fighting the same enemy, I am. God bless him.
At the expense of his own life, and the others who were inolved in this, He and they saved hundreds of more people. May Gods Light Shine on them. Eternal rest grant them oh Lord. Also give my warmest reguards to his partner. Peaceis GARBAGE!
Her lyrics are clearly endorsing homosexual behavior. “Don’t be a drag. Just be a Queen” is playing on the other mean of the word “drag.” She’s saying that dragqueens are queens and should value themselves as such. She is not saying not to be a dragqueen.WWorld: I’ve never listened to the song. Its discouraging homosexuality IMO.In as much as you’ve told me its OK.If it were the opposite of what you think it wouldn’t be a mortal sin to listen to it unless it could influence you in some way to commit a mortal sin .
Not that exactly -Her lyrics are clearly endorsing homosexual behavior. “Don’t be a drag. Just be a Queen” is playing on the other mean of the word “drag.” She’s saying that dragqueens are queens and should value themselves as such. She is not saying not to be a dragqueen.
Honestly I don’t know how much clearer she could be about the message. She portrays herself as a bi-sexual and already speaks at gay pride parades. Moreover the number one claim of homosexuals to rationalize this behavior is that they were born that way. They see their sexual differences as no different than the differences between skin color. They see those that oppose homosexual lifestyles as being the same as a racist. Usually those opposed to homosexual activities are Christians and thus they feel that its important to emphasis that you don’t need to deny the existance of the creator to embrace this. They claim that for us to condemn homosexual activity is claiming that God makes mistakes and thus that God is imperfect.
It is true though
that they are actively denying original sin and that all of us are born with disordered desires.
I think you get the idea from all the previous posts that this song is definitely about homosexuals and endorsing homosexual behavior. Catholics are not so much about whether a person is born with a particular orientation or not, it’s what they DO with the tendency that defines them as holy or worldly. That goes for all of us.I really like Lady Gaga’s Born this Way. But I think there’s a problem with it.
First a little backstory, Gaga is a Christian -and a lot of her songs have to do with the Church (Alejandro, while wrong in moral teaching by a long shot, may be a good example. I’ve never hear it fully, but read an interpretation of it).
Born This Way, at first, seemed innocent. It had a reference to God right at the beginning (“Whether you love him or Capital H I M…”) and even has the word Church hidden in there. Anyways, at first and for a while I thought the meaning was “love who you are, you’re yourself, etc” but apparently, according to one person, it encourages homosexuality -which is clearly a no no. But it’s hard to tell… As the song can fit so many titles.
Also, she sings, “Don’t be a drag, just be a queen.” since that sounds like she’s discouraging drag queens (men dressing up as women), isn’t it discouraging homosexuality? Or is it the opposite?
It’s a good song, but it has an iffy undertone. Should I delete it from my collection? Is it a mortal sin to listen to it? Thanks
She contributes to a lot of causes that are not homosexual at all. Like Haiti and Japan…Wow, so many posts
Anyways, I guess it isn’t good for you, but not a “grave matter” either. It doesn’t seem to be trying to get people to become homosexuals (thus she’s not giving scandal), but rather aims to convince society that we shouldn’t isolate homosexuals, which is true.
I do think it is bad though, as she doesn’t seem to think anything is disordered by being homosexual.
Am I thinking correctly?
But the argument holds no water. It has nothing to do with mistakes. They may be born that way, but we are not born the way God designed us. We are born with original sin. Certainly one could get into God being all knowing and thus knowing that Adam and Eve and all of humanity would fall into sin before He created them. One could argue that somehow that is a part of God’s design, but that would be His permissive will. Not that exactly -
She is saying god makes NO mistakes … she is saying that Christians that say this is disordered are mistaken
that God made people this way and he is perfect and makes no mistakes …
She says this is how God made you and he makes no mistakes
Motley Crue are Still Rocking the House!!! Mick Mars Forever!! Im still waiting for his solo blues cd. I hear hes not happy with the work, and is still fiddling around with it. I will be the First In line to pick it up.OK, I know I’m going to get some people riled because of this, but I don’t think it’s respectful to call her fans her “Little Monsters.”. I must say it was an experience seeing her in NYC (unplanned, but you just never know who you’re going to meet in NYC).
However, she is a marketing genius–much like Madonna was back in the day.
Gotta admit, I’m a product of 80’s music, so nothing quite compares.
So do alot of country artist. I still like country though too!The music is poor. Pray for her and her legions of fan. She promotes sin.
Theres a lady who knows all that glitters is gold, and shes buying a stairway to heaven…Do you like this classic my friend. Its from Led Zepplin. how bout this one. So I called up the captain, plz bring me my wine. He said. We havent had that spirit here since 1969… Whats that about? I know what its about. its from hotel california. Great groups great songs. both with a veiled message worse than anything Lady Ga Ga is pushing. Im still trying to get the solo down to Stair way to heaven down. Its a toughie. Her lyrics are clearly endorsing homosexual behavior. “Don’t be a drag. She is saying it’s not sinful. You disagree. Lots of people have different opinions. Her view on homosexuality is not relevant to all her humanitarian efforts. But the argument holds no water. It has nothing to do with mistakes. They may be born that way, but we are not born the way God designed us. We are born with original sin. Certainly one could get into God being all knowing and thus knowing that Adam and Eve and all of humanity would fall into sin before He created them. Poor me something tall and strong! You are soooo right!I don’t get my feathers ruffled over lady Gaga because she really is no more scandalous than Madonna or the Indigo girls! I don’t spend my time stressing over whether the music I listen to is sinful or not because it has no influence over my life, at all! I enjoy it, but music has never shaped my views of the world. Literature, poetry, and music are all the arts, and while some would argue they have passive impacts on how we think and what we believe, I take a different approach.
I think we like and dislike music and the arts based on bits and pieces of what we see in ourselves and the rest of the world. Pop culture is often a reflection of how people see the world, not necessarily what is true or what the general populous does. Politically charged tunes are catered to those who are already politically charged, classical music appeals to those who enjoy the classics, and so forth and so on.
If you want to break down which artists promote sin, you will be hard pressed to find any remnant of pop culture that doesn’t portray (different than promoting, mind you) sin or sinful behavior. We are all human, after all, and singing about Wasting Away in Margaritaville doesn’t mean Jimmy Buffet promotes drunken behavior!
Anywho… my 2 cents!
