There is nothing to worry about. You do what you like and and listen to what you want to, just because you support and artist, who supports things you feel are wrong, does not mean that you are supporting those things.Yes, this is my third thread related to Lady GagaHopefully, this will be my last on her, though.
Anyways, since Lady Gaga is pro-gay, pro-abortion, am I obligated to not buy her music (that isn’t offensive in any way to God)? I think she does donate to pro-abortion groups…
If it’s sinful to buy her music, is it sinful to listen to her music on the radio, etc? What about watching interviews? Is anything to do with Lady Gaga sinful?

When I first saw this thread, I hadn’t even heard of the song Judas. It spiked my curiosity and I google video’d it to see what all the fuss was about.
While the music video was mildly graphic, weird, and dark (like most of her videos) I honestly didn’t see why the song itself was so controversial to the people on this forum. My only guess is most of you are kinda misunderstanding the actual meaning of the song, and only quickly dismissing it because she talks about Judas and mentions Jesus’ name.
It comes across to me as a bit foolish to condemn a song so quickly, before the listener has actually really listened to it, read the lyrics, and tried to understand the metaphor.
The song is NOT about falling in love with the actual bible character, Judas. Neither is it about condoning Judas or worshiping him in any way. It’s a METAPHOR.
The song lyrics say very clearly *“Jesus is my virtue, Judas is the demon I cling to.”

…On the surface, the song is about good girls falling for bad guys and about the struggles with the glamor of temptation. But it goes a little deeper than that.
Lady Gaga talks about the more in depth meaning of it in an interview:
"It’s about leaving your darkness behind in order to come into the light. I have a lot of things that have haunted me from my past - choices, men, drug abuse, being afraid to go back to New York, confronting old romances - and Judas represents, for me, something that is bad for me that I can’t escape. I keep going back and forth between the darkness and the light in order to understand who I am." -LadyGaga
This is NOT a satanic song. It is simply a song that uses biblical reference as metaphors.
If you don’t like the song, don’t listen to it. If, for some reason, it still offends you, don’t listen to it. But if you like Lady Gaga’s other songs, by all means, rock out! You don’t have to stop listening to music you like just because the same artist wrote another song that you DON’T like. I mean, come on. That’s just silly and extremely petty.

Its no different than in the 80s, when everything was “satanic” and people were playing their pat boon records backwards to find evil messages… How do you reverse play a cd, or mp3 player anyway?

These kind of folk find anything offensive. They would probably be mad the way I play the Star Spangled Banner, with my distortion, and reverb on full tilt, on my Epiphone SG special, with a line 6 amp! Lots of other folks like it. If it was not Lady Ga Ga. it would be something else. Like…Doro pesch or something. Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous!

And no, Im no better than any body else, nor would I think so. More open minded perhaps, but no better. We as humans are ALL broken to some degree. and will be until we either go home to heaven, or the Lord returns. Whichever comes first. Enjoy the beaches of Florida. I am going to be enjoying the hawaiian beaches in a few weeks!
