This is out of the LA Times. I suggest you grab a brew and enjoy this article w/ a like minded soul.

This LA Times author warns his readers that Archbishop Gomez’s close association w/ Archbishop Chaput is a cause for concern; Chaput does not think pro-choice “Catholic” politicians are worthy to receive the Blessed Sacrament.

Cardinal Mahony’s successor is a risky choice**
The Vatican’s appointment of Archbishop Jose Gomez, a staunch member of the strange and secretive Opus Dei, could bring wrenching changes for area Roman Catholics.

Tuesday’s announcement that the Vatican has appointed Archbishop Jose Gomez of San Antonio as coadjutor and successor to Cardinal Roger M. Mahony is a significant event both for America’s largest Roman Catholic diocese and for California.

Sometimes it seems that all hell has broken loose. But the tide must be turning. God has blessed the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. May he continue to bless the Archdiocese of Seattle.

Praise God! An Archbishop who is a close associate of Archbishop Chaput who “does not think that pro-choice ‘Catholic’ politicians are worthy to receive the Blessed Sacrament” and who is “a staunch member of the strange and secretive (LOL:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) Opus Dei”.

I think this is good for LA but the Archbishop needs to buckle his seat belt; he is going to need prayers and support.

I don’t think I would ever consider the LA Times a credible source, where did Opus Dei get this mystical secretive underground tag?
