Which Latin Bible text is used in the Tridentine Mass? Nova Vulgata? Clementine Vulgate?

Correct me if I’m wrong: the current Extraordinary Form uses the NV, though parishes with a special dispensation can use the Clementine Vulgata.

Guess it depends on which missal they are using. Ours uses the DR.

The Nova Vulgata did not start to appear until 1969, which means that it is not used in the Missale Romanum of 1962.

Ah, so Masses that are celebrated with the EF only use the 1962 missal?

Summorum Pontificum stipulated the 1962 Missale Romanum so yes, by virtue of the motu proprio, that’s what should be used.

What I meant when I said the thing about the missal used was that the Angelus Press missal takes its Gospels and Epistles from the Douay Rheims Bible. Other 1962 misssals may take their readings from an RSV. I’m not really sure.

And to answer the question about the EF using a 1962 missal, that is correct. And the liturgical calendar is slightly different. There is only a one year cycle in the readings, in the EF; which has lead to some criticism of the 1962 Rite but also to some pretty heated discussions on the accuracy of the NAB as a source for the Word of God for the Novus Ordo Mass with its three year cycle.

EF uses the Clementine. Most Latin-proficient traditionalists prefer the Clementine in private reading as well.

Correct. Not only does SP stipulate the 1962 Missal, but the indult granted by Pope John Paul II in Ecclesia Dei, also stipulated that Missal. To the best of my knowledge, it is the only Missal stipulated in post Vatican II documents on the use of EF of the Mass in these post conciliar times.
