Hi boys and girls!

In my ongoing search for altar boy training resources, I came across this website that has an mp3 of the latin prayers and their responses. For those of you who, like me, think that learning the latin to serve is too daunting a task, check this out. They don’t really say too much! 😃

Man oh Man! I love Ya!
My hubby is downloading these to his PDA as we speak!
You da MAN!

Using the mighty powers of Google I also found these principal prayers in Latin for download.

Ooooh! Glad y’all like it. Now me, I have to learn things by repetition, and this is gonna be perfect. Burn it to a cd to listen on my commute, and to the bank and to the tax office, and the courthouse, and back home again. I’ll be serving in a week! 🙂

It may ‘work’ to pronounce the words, but a server should understand the words. He doesn’t have to be able to translate the entire Vulgate or anything, but he should be able to look at a phrase from the Latin Mass, and tell you what it means.

That is the site for St. Boniface/Holy Wisdom parish in Pittsburgh. It is a great parish.

That’s very true. Good point. But like I said above, I need to learn the pronunciation by repetition. This is a great tool for that.

I clicked the link, and there were two things you could download, so I downloaded the first one, but now I can’t find it. Any idea what I can type into my “search” bar to scan the computer for it?

Seriously. It doesn’t sound sincere unless you try as much as possible to speak in Latin with correct pronunciation and inflection.

Have any better resources? Evidently, the mighty powers of Google failed me.

Not for the Tridentine Rite, but yes for the Novus Ordo in Latin.
