FYI…there’s a cd available here that is the new Mass sung as well as spoken entirely in Latin.

It’s quite well produced and the man who speaks/sings the Latin is very good. He’s British too.

Well, I was quite surprised just how much I remembered and as I was responding with the altar boy I noticed that my pronunciations were softer - a response I think to singing a good bit of chant and sacred polyphony with our choir and maybe influenced by the Spanish I took in college.

The Schola was very, very nice. They approach chant as we were taught, namely that it “breathes”. I really liked the fact that the Schola was all male. I think that chant just sounds better if it is one gender or the other but not both. So thanks to all for a most enjoyable listening experience.
