Read the links that I have posted. They are not long. They have very good information about the history of the Mass that will educate.

The point I was trying to make is, how long was the Bible in Latin before it was translated into English?

If any Religious order or community can prove that their service is 200 years or further back Pope St. Pius V said that they can continue their liturgy in their form. If not they have to use the Tridentine Mass. Read the links.

The Bible was translated into English in the later Middle Ages. So, what’s your point? How long was the Bible in many languages before being translated into Latin?

The New Testament was in Greek till St. Jerome translated it into Latin in circa 400 A.D… Also there were different languages that The New Testament was in . Syriac, Egyptian, Armenian, Ethiopian, Gothic, and Georgian were among the earlist transcripts.

There was a version called “Old Latin” that existed before Jerome did his work. Jerome was not the first.

Also, the New Testament was not complete. They were not refered to as "Books of the Bible as we know them today. The Cannon of The New testament was not defined until the
Council of Trent.

It wasn’t defined by an ecumenical council until then. But Christians agreed for a very long time before that on what the canon of the New Testament was.
