As a mother of two small children, it often seems like the lavatory is my office. While I was “potty-training” them, I got very close to the BVM Mary. I don’t think I have ever prayed as hard during that brief time of my life, and now I can only say, “Thankyou God for letting them be trained”. I know many other families who still need the prayers. Even with the small children being trained, we still cannot go into a public place without visiting a bathroom 1-10 times.

We are also concerned mom’s because of the “bathroom wars” which potentially allow men dressed as women to use a woman’s public restroom. So, this is promoting me to pray for God’s will for public restrooms.

Other prayers I see needed for the lavatory prayers is the young adolescent’s going through puberty who use the bathroom to deal with pubescent.

Welcome all who have bathroom prayers they want to pray for.

A prayer for Children

O God the Father of mankind, who hast given me these my children, and committed them to my charge to bring them up for Thee, and prepare them for eternal life: help me with thy heavenly grace, that I may be able to fulfil this most sacred duty and stewardship.

Teach me both what to give and what to withhold; when to reprove and when to forbear; make me to be gentle, yet firm; considerate and watchful; and deliver me equally from the weakness of indulgence, and the excess of severity; and grant that, bother by word and example, I may be careful to lead them in the ways of wisdom and true piety, so that at last I may, with them, be admitted to the unspeakable joys of our true home in heaven, in the company of the blessed Angels and Saints. Amen.
