I think it’s funny that talk about me like this. I’m decently intelligent, considering I just got accepted to Yale…
 
Hopefully, they’ll teach you a few things at Yale, jedihamster. One, there is no “d” in knowlege.

Secondly, I’m not a dude.

Thirdly, I don’t get most of my information “for the news.” I find out my information from people who actually have been overseas in the middle of it. But by all means, continue to get all your news from al-Jazeera. It shows.

Actually, just so you know, there is a “d” in knowledge. Knowlege isn’t a word… check out this site if you’d like to view: dictionary.reference.com/browse/knowledge

I trust my information from people who’s families are in iraq, and from friends and family who’ve been over there in the military, and from the politicians who oppose war. I use government fact sheets, and watch tons of documentaries and books to back up whatever I debate with…

Don’t worry though, I understand your position… I was just raised in a different social situation, so there’s so many opinions…
 
Oh dear, jedihamster, you don’t like the British spelling? Well, there is a host of knowlege on the world wide web that omits the D. Look it up. I personally spent years transcribing legal documents, and they were sticklers for leaving out the D in knowlege. They were quite sure KNOWLEGE was a word. And I’ll bet you spell grey with an a, right?

One thing we should agree upon: don’t ever end a sentence with a preposition. Not if you want to get good grades at Yale. And no one will take your viewpoints seriously if you end your sentences a preposition with. 😉

I’m sorry, but I’ve never heard of anyone using it like that. I went to a an international school in canada with people from all over the UK, and I never have seen them writing “knowlege.” Still, it’s Knowledge in my dictionary, so I’ll use it like that till someone says not to.

Funny my middle name is Gray, but I use both when I write… Also, when I’m online or on messenger, I never write english correctly. It’s always in semi sentences,…

in my view, any catholic, who is trying to live like jesus, has no excuse to ever enter the military. period. you are getting yourself in a situation where innocent lives are lost.

lavazza… perhaps you should try looking from another point of view… when I swore my oath, it was to protect and defend the constitution of the United States. Protecting your rights in the constitution is essentially protecting not only your way of life but your very life itself. As you are an innocent citizen of this country, thus the military is preserving the lives of innocents… Military protects the innocents not kills them… just thank God there are so many of us who care to serve.

Information for jedimasterham… I am college educated and was about 1/2 way through when I joined the military, but my dad and my brother were both officers… that means college educated just in case you didn’t know. Many of my uncles and cousins (male and female) are military too, including my cousin the Catholic priest. In one year, my ds will be graduating high school and going hopefully into rotc then serving his country too… our armed forces are very educated, probably better than most countries.
 
Wow too bad I want to become a lawyer then…not a criminal lawyer though, so hopefully that’s good enough.
 
as Fr. John Corapi said on ewtn, this war against iraq is a unjust war, and every catholic should speak out against it. just because we have a office dealing with the military, it does not make fighting wars right or proper.

There’s a difference between :“This particular was is unjust” and “therefore all wars are unjust”.

No. It is not correct to say that “any war with the Muslims” is good.

There is such a thing as a just war.

A war is “just” if it meets certain conditions. It is “unjust” if it does not meet those conditions.

The war in Iraq may (or may not) be a just war.

Any specific conflict with a Muslim nation may (or may not) be a just war.

Any specific conflict with a non-Muslim nation may (or may not) be a just war.

OK why were we in Germany in ww2 they never attacked our country although this would be in german if we would have sat that one out basicly the war is between good and evil muslims will tell you they want to take over the world and cut off your head if you don’t convert if you don’t like this country catch a ride out
