Indeed. It’s more than enough time to establish one fact with rock-solid certainty: God hates amputees.
Mysterious healings occur all the time. It can be due to body reacting naturally or unnaturally and heals the ailment, it can be coincidence or it can be caused by factors that we don’t know. We know how medical science heals when we subjected ourselves to its treatment regime and management but other than that more often than not it is a mystery.
Christian healing does not take the place of hospital. That is why the term **‘lay healer’ **is never in a Catholic book. It is God who heals and therefore is the Healer. When God heals it is for his glory, not the physical healing per se. When Jesus healed the blind man, it was done so that God’s glory can be seen. His glory specifically is that He ‘heals’, not the body because the body is temporal but the soul which is eternal. For what good it does if your body is well but your soul is sick?
Unfortunately many Christians, with good intention focus on physical healing.
It is certainly true many prayers for physical healings are not granted simply because what the Christians urgently need is the healing of the souls.
Many years back I was shown a video on one of those Benny Hinn healing sessions. What struck me was not the people that fell helplessly on the floor but the watch that he wore on his hand. And I thought, ‘Gosh, that is one heck of a watch”. And I thought he could not possibility model his healing on Jesus because in all probability Jesus could not afford the watch. That much show what kind of lay healers that had grabbed most of the headlines today. They are simply doctors. Your guess is as good as mine on what kind of doctors they are. And now you don’t have to wonder how they could afford such watch – medical fees are always high.
God’s healing on the other hand focuses on the complete healing of the person so that he is well enough to be able to do what God wants and be well with him in heaven. If physical healing should occur, it so that the person experiences that God actually is present in his life and then for him to ponder on the implication and to take action according.
The young woman I told you who was healed of terminal liver disease caused by chronic Hepatitis B has become a good Christian who now has five children and serve the Lord actively in a personal capacity. If physical healing does not achieve this purpose, then it is granted in vain. And that what happen quite often when Christians come to be healed and not to seek the Healer (God).
More often than not it is the emotional and psychological healing that are often taking place. Some of these even leads to physical healing for it is a fact that when we are incompetently stressed it can leads to physical ailment. Take away the causes; you’d take away the ailments. But what make emotional and psychological sickness (phobia, anger, unforgiveness, rebelliousness, lust, etc) dangerous is that they can leads to sin. So in God love and mercy if a Christian comes to him in faith, he would heal them of the causes first.
So,
God does NOT hate amputees. You lost a leg but you can be healthy in both body, mind and spirit and no healing is necessary.
