Lol I had 2 Jehovah witnesses come to my house. I just didn’t answer the door.

Got that right they just don’t know how to stop!

I have had JWs come to my door back in the day. That was when my golden retriever was alive. She was so friendly that the JW always got distracted and enjoyed petting her.

They often left without proselytizing and everyone was happy. The JWs enjoyed playing with the dog, me and of course, the dog herself.

Cut off bottom then stick to fridge or frame it for you home alter😀

I’m agnostic and two nice young men approached me in a local park and asked if I had accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. When I answered no, we had a nice respectful discussion on why I didn’t believe and why they did. When I asked them how the felt about the lack of evidence of Israelites in America, they kind hemmed and hawed and had to go on their way.

I always try to make time to talk to them. I enjoy it and they have to reconfigure the God hating atheist position. ☺️

I’d love love love to have Mormon missionaries try to testify to me. I used to be one of them. I was a Mormon for 57 years. Oh, how I’d love to talk to them about a few things.

I enjoy it when we get missionaries visiting. I always tell them that I respect their courage and that I regret that some of my neighbours are rude to them. Then I warn them that I am not a believer and that while I have heard what they have to say many times they may not have heard what I have to say and that my views could prove challenging to their faith. I explain that I am really interested in why they believe but that I don’t mind that they do! All that preamble makes no difference and away they go! In reality I think the only real impact I have is on the issue of evolution. The JWs in particular seem to know nothing about the science.

Yeah I warned them about some of the people in my town and they said oh no actually have been kind here so that was nice

Isnt that odd ???they dont believe in the divinity of christ ,but they believe in resurrection. i know mormon missionaries will stop ,when one get stranded on the road e.g flat tire .They stopped not to help ,but to proselytize. If stranded persons are interested in knowing their faith, then they will help ,but if not they get upset and leave in a hurry.Thats what happened to my colleague before . i remember an australian priest narrating on ewtn about his runs with mormons .One time,he was wondering why two young immigrants stopped attending Mass in his parish . So,he decided to visit them .He learned that they were being brainwashed and programmed ny Mormons to despise the Catholic church .So,when he learned that they were coming back to further brainwash them ,he made sure he was present .When they arrived ,he told them to cease and desist their evil deeds .Sure enough ,they didnt come back and the immigrants returned to their Catholic faith .

Not “kinda”–they are Arian. They (like Islam) bolt some more stuff on top of Arianism, but they have the core Arian beliefs.

So does that make then Arian aryians, or arian Arians? 🤣:roll_eyes:

Thank you for putting out the effort to evangelize them in return. Most people just shoo the Mormons away and they never get the chance to have even a seed planted. It also tends to affirm their persecution complex. The first and only time I ever had Catholics witness to me was when I was serving my own mission for the LDS Church. 6 years later I was baptized and confirmed a Catholic and I still vividly remember the couple who answered their door and invited us in. I really wish I remembered their names to look them up and thank them. You should pray for those missionaries (by name, if possible) too.

I don’t think so. The JWs are neo-Arians, but the Mormons are somewhere between tritheism and adoptionism.

Belief that Jesus was the messiah promised in the Old Testament, and that he wasn’t divine (or not divine until some point) gets you there . . .
