- do mormons believe that some humans can become Gods?
- do mormons believe that Jesus is a separate and unique individual from the father?
- do mormons believe that there are three levels of heaven?
I was a member of the LDS Faith up until four years ago when I converted to The Catholic Faith. I even served a mission and all that good stuff, been to the temple even had temple marriage. I’ll do the best I can in ansering your questions and hopefully they can be of help.

True, but let’s clarify further (since word choice always confuses these discussions, since we all use the same words to mean different things sometimes): As Catholics, we believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three separate persons, and are one God, as in one in substance, purpose, will and intent. We know that Jesus did not pray to Himself. We also believe that only the Son has a body, as He Incarnated, died, was bodily resurrected, and bodily ascendedThe difference is we (Catholics) believe in a triune God, three personages equal one God. The LDS believe in three personages equal three Gods.

It seems that mormons and catholics have much in common with their wording. And this should be no surprise since both churches have much truth. One claims no apostacy and other claims apostacy. But in the end, there are similiarities more than with protestants. Also, as Catholics, we too believe that God’s House (Heaven) has many mansions. Once you analyze what exactly is meant by the Celestial, Terrestrial, and Telestial Kingdoms, you notice the differences.
Actually, we have a lot more in common with many Protestant churches (there is no one “Protestant Church” or protestant doctrine), especially various types of Anglican churches and various Lutheran churches. We have the most in common with the Orthodox Church. It seems that mormons and catholics have much in common with their wording. And this should be no surprise since both churches have much truth.
