Souls, I think.Which is made in the image and likeness of God - our bodies or our souls?
No, I’m not actually. What makes you think that? You’re a girl.

Well then you must be an angelSouls, I think.

An angel is a soul than has never been associated with a body. I do not fit that description.Well then you must be an angel
It should be clear that to be made in the image of God means something like “to reflect God”. In what way does the human body reflect any quality of God?Body and soul we are made in the image and likeness of God.
“Made flesh” just means “in bodily form”. God became human so that he could pay the price for Adam and Eve’s sin, so I’m not sure what you are trying to show here.Code:That is why Christ is the Word made FLESH; that's why we eat His BODY and drink his BLOOD; that's why Adam finally saw the woman that had been created and said "at last here is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh."
You might need to read this from the CCC:An angel is a soul than has never been associated with a body. I do not fit that description.

Us eating/drinking Jesus’s body and blood is symbolic of God giving his life for human salvation. It has little relevance here.
Just because Eve was flesh of Adam’s flesh just means that she shared these characteristics with him. It makes no implications regarding the question at hand.
Also, what of the argument I gave earlier? You haven’t answered it.
II. “BODY AND SOUL BUT TRULY ONE”
362 The human person, created in the image of God, is a being at once corporeal and spiritual. The biblical account expresses this reality in symbolic language when it affirms that "then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."229 Man, whole and entire, is therefore willed by God.
363 In Sacred Scripture the term “soul” often refers to human life or the entire human person.230 But “soul” also refers to the innermost aspect of man, that which is of greatest value in him,231 that by which he is most especially in God’s image: “soul” signifies the spiritual principle in man.
364 The human body shares in the dignity of “the image of God”: it is a human body precisely because it is animated by a spiritual soul, and it is the whole human person that is intended to become, in the body of Christ, a temple of the Spirit:232
Man, though made of body and soul, is a unity. Through his very bodily condition he sums up in himself the elements of the material world. Through him they are thus brought to their highest perfection and can raise their voice in praise freely given to the Creator. For this reason man may not despise his bodily life. Rather he is obliged to regard his body as good and to hold it in honor since God has created it and will raise it up on the last day. 233
365 The unity of soul and body is so profound that one has to consider the soul to be the “form” of the body:234 i.e.,** it is because of its spiritual soul that the body made of matter becomes a living, human body; spirit and matter, in man, are not two natures united, but rather their union forms a single nature.**
You are 15. While your arguments are impressive. They lack wisdom, patience and humility… which are vital virtues. And they reek of pride, which is … not so virtuous. Press on… but with respect and compassion. You are coming across like a show off – know it all. Which, for 15 isn’t all that bad. Obviously you are immature. And just as obvious you are very bright. Just be nice and kind while you pontificate… please. Have you considered a religous life?An angel is a soul than has never been associated with a body. I do not fit that description.

This is very insulting. I have said nothing immature and pontificate and I am not a show off or know it all. Keep in mind that reason is to be trusted above alleged science, so unless you can refute my argument, which you haven’t even tried to do, it is you that reeks of pride. Thinking you can deny your reasoning just because other people don’t believe it. Isn’t Christianity about faith? where’s the faith in denying reason, which was given to you by God precisely as a means of gaining knowledge? Why would God give you reasoning unless he wanted you to use it to gain knowledge? You are denying that a gift of God works the way he wanted it and thus refusing to use it. Please do not insult Him in this way.You are 15. While your arguments are impressive. They lack wisdom, patience and humility… which are vital virtues. But you’re the one ignoring the hard facts presented to you in this thread. Denying the truth will not cause it to go away! This is very insulting. I’ve given arguments to prove this case in so many places and at so many times. It aggrivates me when people ignore my argument just because they can see that it is valid and constitutes proof. If you guys ignore it any longer, I will depart from this thread.
Sometime’s one’s reasoning is faulty, and then it’s good to rely on the church’s teaching. This is very insulting. I have said nothing immature and pontificate and I am not a show off or know it all. Though reason is certainly not infallible, it is never moral to deny reason when it persists (it’s immoral because it’s irrational).Sometime’s one’s reasoning is faulty, and then it’s good to rely on the church’s teaching.
How do you know these “facts”? If it’s because you read them on wikipedia, or because your parents taught you them, or any other human source, then you must ask how the people who told you these things know them. Since human society is so ridiculously over-trusting, all satan would have to do to lead an entire planet into such a cardinal deception is to have some of his minions write a wiki article containing a bunch of lies and fabrications. Since you can’t prove that this isn’t how the world came to believe this, you can’t use it as an argument. Besides, you’re still ignoring reason. I gave an argument to prove my case, and you wouldn’t even listen. You didn’t answer me. I have asked you several times to respond to my argument, but you continue to ignore me. I shall therefore cease posting on this thread. But you’re the one ignoring the hard facts presented to you in this thread. Denying the truth will not cause it to go away!
And where did you get your proof? Is it through your own self reasoning? Did you ever cite a source anywhere in this thread? How do you know these “facts”?
