Thank you sincerely for posting this, oneofmany. It’s a poignant and moving article, and really, it’s the type of article I come to CAF hoping to find. I don’t know what to say other than that I hope to be able to scrape together some dough to send their way, though due to my situation it will definitely take a few days. I won’t forget this article though, and I’ve saved it, because the information is largely new to me. I wish I was in a position to do something really substantial. Also, I do appreciate the article, and I also hope any Assyrians who might come across this thread understand that this information is not widely known in America. It should be, and it may be surprising that it isn’t, but I want to underline the fact that by and large we are a highly, highly uninformed people when it comes to anything outside our borders. Which is foul and absurd for obvious reasons. But to veer off the subject for a moment, I think that Americans probably are lied to more than any other population on Earth, for the simple reason that we actually could affect massive positive change if we caterwauled loudly enough about it. Other populations maybe aren’t in that position, and so they’re not distracted and lied to as much as Americans are. But again, I’m praying we’ll see through this cloud and focus our attention on this, on what actually matters. I’m going to reread this article a few times, too, because as I said, it’s largely new information, although it very obviously shouldn’t be. Please remember that although our government and military set this horror in motion, we Americans ourselves are just trying to survive, by and large. Assyria is in my mind; please stay strong.
