Archie Bunker: though he did improve late in the series.

Anakin Skywalker: All that power and he was still a whiny little boy, till he went totally darkside and became a nasty bully. He was given so much and threw it all away because he couldn’t face his own faults.

Master Yoda: The guy has his good points but God above, how can anyone with all those advantages be that clueless?!
He had centuries worth of experience, knowledge, power to draw on, and the resources of the entire Jedi Order, and he *still *didn’t know what was going on.

His was a delicious bit of revenge, whereas Villiforts was a bit sad…

I agree with you on Mercedes though.

Good point (about Yoda being clueless), but I still love him. (Well, at least in the 5th movie. He’s not as funny in the new trilogy.)
 
I really didn’t like Hester or anyone else else in “The Scarlet Letter.” Except the baby I guess, I have nothing against babies. But I read the entire book with a sneer of revulsion on my face.

But the baby was the worst part! Seriously, Pearl was spat up from the depths of hell, as what can be viewed as devine punishment for all the fornicating 😃

I know exactly what you’re saying and where you’re coming from with this - Hester, Dimmesdale, Chillingsworth…all really unlikeable, unsympathetic and rather disgusting people. But I enjoyed the book a great deal, on many levels. My sister loathes it, but she approached it as a love story.

Have you seen the movie with Demi Moore? One of the funniest films ever made; we were dying with laughter. I remember it came out when I was in high school, and our teacher could tell who had skipped the book by their straight-faced essays detailing Hester and Arthur’s star-crossed romance, and how they were rescued by Indians at the end 😃
 
Well for me, and in my experience most people who have read the Wheel of Time to its twelth book will agree, Egwene Al’Vere is simply the worst character ever to come up from… anywhere!

She’s whiny, arrogant, ignorant and really just unpleasant. Heavens, even though her former best friend is supposed to save their world, she can’t get passed, “Oh my gosh! He can channel! Let’s gentle him,”

Yeah… I just really don’t like her. Oh well, I suppose it’s a tribute to Jordan’s writing that he can create a good guy so thouroghly hateful.

The problem is, Abigail Williams, like all the other characters in The Crucible, was a real person who really did the things in the play. She was not fictional. Perhaps you meant that you disliked the way Arthur Miller fictionalised her.

I was refering to a character from a play, not a real person.

Cobra Commander on G. I. Joe – he was such a baby

Megatron on Transformers – He was one ugly robot. Sorry but that’s what he was.

Launch Pad McQuack on DuckTales – Biggest clutz ever. 😛

Everyone on rugrats – no point to the cartoon

O yeah, i also hate the hollows from Bleach, but i love the way Rukia draws them.

Orochimaru. i would love to take out my years of karate training on his ugly face.

You just struck a nerve, I despise rugrats! The parents are so neglectful it’s amazing their kids are never seriously injured or ill.

And Buster on Arthur is so bizarre and inconsiderate. He doesn’t even realize that the things he says are completely stupid and that the things he does are totally rude. He is so oblivious to reality that I’m surprised he has any friends.

You forgot to mention Dragon Tales, though. Every character on that show is cowardly and whiny. It seems like some character is always either sulking because his feelings got hurt or freakishly afraid to try something new.

And I don’t like Caillou either.

“Friends” - dull plots, & the characters are completely unfunny

Estella in “Great Expectations” is utterly detestable. “Loathsome” is putting it mildly

Yeah, dragons are supposed to be evil NOT GOOD! The symbolism is lost there. 🤷 Dragons are supposed to represent the Devil! Witches are supposed to represent the false prophet. The Caillou show is so dumb. 😛 Not to mention gay as well. :rolleyes:
