Leftist activists to greet pope with gay ‘kiss-in’, SlutWalk protests in Rio

I am convinced that so-called “same-sex marriage” is the mark of the beast that is mentioned in Revelation. It is a doctrine of demons that mocks God’s institution of marriage. The mark is received on the head with the mocked blessing by the one conducting the official ceremony and on the hand with the ring they wear.
 
The media loves to announce these gay protests but from what I’ve read about them after the protest takes place, they don’t amount to much. 🤷

Yes, same-sex “marriage” evil and a mockery of God, but lets us not forget the evil of abortion. I hate to sound pessimistic but I think same-sex “marriage” is only the start. Plus, we can’t not fall into the Protestant trap and be starting focusing on the end times. We have to stay on track and lead souls to Christ and to the Mother Church!
 
I haven’t been to WYD but over the years I have followed new accounts about the event. One of the observations is that the hostility that is there in the beginning diminishes over days. In the days preceding, news articles and opinion pieces are very aggressive then it simmers down to measured disagreement, then to grudging admiration and then, toward the end, the journalists and bloggers are nearly gushing about how wonderful they think the Pope is or at least acknowledging that he’s not nearly as bad as all that. I think the protesters will lose steam, too.

I wish I had printed articles about WYD in Toronto (links would probably be dead) to demonstrate this. The Holy Spirit is there at World Youth Day and with the Holy Father, of course. Hopefully, our young people will be the gracious guests (and hosts) they have been in the past and set an example to the world.

These activist are going to do some outrageous things in an attempt to send a message. We got the message. We disagree. Get used to it.
 
So there is something I continue to wonder about after reading this article. It’s something I’ve thought about in the past with another group of women (I can’t remember their name) who were running around Notre Dame topless with profanities written across their bodies.

These women “protesters” are almost in every way the exact opposite of the Virgin Mary.

Here were these extremely loud women, running around naked, screaming profanities, with profanities written across their bodies, etc.

I suppose they could have been rolling around in feces and throwing infants into bonfires to really complete the image but never the less it was amazing how starkly they stood opposite of Mary. (And being in Notre Dame just added to the stark contrast)

Is this on purpose and done consciously? Or do you think they are unaware of this?

“On purpose,” as their contrasting image with Our Lady? I believe they do not think of any others than themselves that they must act in this manner toward nostrum Papa and the Church. Your contrast between these protesters and Our Lady (the paragon of humility, purity, and obedience to God) is interesting.

As for the topic, I am appalled (as stated previously) of the manner in which these protesters (men and women alike) are acting towards nostrum Papa and the Church. Unfortunately, I do not expect much backlash from this protest from media (of television, nor of the media of internet). I will pray for them.

Probably both. Lapsed Catholics know what they are doing, they know exactly what kind of things will wind us up. Others just follow their instinct in how to be offensive.

Abortion and so-called “same-sex marriage” are two sides of the same coin. Abortion is evil, but the difference is that with so-called “same-sex marriage” it is a blasphemous evil that is glorified in a ceremony which mocks God’s institution of marriage and is given an official stamp of approval by the state (and some mainline Protestant denominations). It’s like the difference between an abortion that happens in a clinic vs if the abortions were done on the altars of churches in a satanic ritual. It’s obvious that the Catholic Church is their ultimate target. But since the Church is guided by the Holy Spirit, and God doesn’t change, they will always be in protest.

I was at the WYD.in Toronto, sincerely I didn’t see any protests at all or negative attitudes, to the contrary the entire attitude of people in Toronto was positive and joyful. I remember us being at the subway station with another group from the UK surrounded by locals, on the second day, the UK group started singing songs and all the regular people started singing and clapping happily at the subway station. I guess these protesters are a small group that the media just wants to over emphasize.
 
These activists should be happy that the young people at WYD tend to be uncommonly charitable. If they weren’t adherents to the system they are protesting things could have gotten very ugly very fast. Thank God for calm heads and kind hearts.

It is good that the leftist activists identify themselves so overtly with anti-Catholicism and the moral traditions of the Christian Church. It makes the choice for liberal Catholics clearer, like which side of the Jordan was a line in the sand for Joshua and the Israelite tribes.

Was this in the U.S.?

This group is called Femen and they are originally from the Ukraine but have spread groups across Europe.

I saw them on Al-Jazeera TV on a show with feminists reaching out to women and was shocked when right on the show, one of founders took off her top only to be black out. She made no points with her antics.

In April 2013, they attacked a catholic Archbishop in Belgium.
