Nope.

I am more of the help out on the ranch kind of rider. I grew up near a ranch in Hawaii and knew several paniolos (Hawaiian cowboys).

I can’t even imagine a Hawaiian ranch… what do you grow

Yup there is a new island which is still under construction. I think it is called Loihi. Also the Hawaii state flag has the British flag on it.

You are set! Move over Jharek.

Cattle whose ancestors were brought over by General Vancouver.

There were Hawaiian cowboys before there were Texan cowboys.

My kids want to go to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Which island is best

A bit like that old myth of not taking photos …hmmm…

I am biased but I say Maui because that is my home island.

However it is too touristy even for Hawaii. You may want to go to the island of Hawaii or the Big Island. It is the most diverse and most interesting of all the islands not to mention the largest.

I’d rather watch that than baseball. Now that game is stultifying.

I’m a naval (interested) person myself, former member of the International Naval Research Organization. Not so much modern ships, but from early ironclad/ pre dreadnought through WWII, or the retirement of HMS VANGUARD and the Iowa class.

I think the Royal Navy has the Dons outweighed in displacement, and in functional air power, and in general niftiness. Joke on the Dons, dates back to post Spanish American War, and says they are acquiring new ships for a new navy. With glass bottoms so they can see the old navy. Probably has been used on other folk, too.

I wish an tSeirbhís Chabhlaigh good luck. Yes. Looked it up. Propitious that the naval Hqs is located on an island in Cork Harbor. Bodes well.

In a complicated story, I have trod on a portion of the coronation carpet.

The Roman Emperors had no blessing from the Church, they were in fact pagan rulers. Yet, we are told to obey the just authority of the rulers of countries. The early Christians did so, eve to the point of martyrdom, which was unjust.

“Be ye subject, therefore, to every human creature for God’s sake; whether it be to the king as excelling, or to governors as sent by him.” I Peter 2:13

Yeah, but recall we had sunk the Spanish fleet first. To adapt Sheridan’s line: The Spanish fleet thou canst not see — because — It’s sunk and you’ll need a glass bottomed boat.

According to my peeking, the Naval Service has, what, 8 bottoms? Long may they float.

Which is why Cork Harbor seems a propitious place for a floating Hqs.
