Today’s Fat Tuesday. Time to say “farewell”!
We’ll check up on you.I gave up FB and CAF for Lent a few years ago and realized I inadvertently cut myself off from necessary support (people I know in real life on FB and spiritual support on CAF).
So, for me, making an effort to stay on CAF is more of a sacrifice of time and attention, and is more spiritually beneficial than fasting from it.
Now, if you don’t see me at Easter, go ahead and PM me. I may have “broken” this small aspect of my Lenten sacrifice.![]()
Game threads and prayer requests…perfect opportunity. Only nine to go!Oh thank heavens I’m not the only person who gives up CAF for Lent! I was worried I would miss out on all the fun you guys would have…
I’ll be getting off tonight. Just want to see if I can get to 900 posts first. :choocho:
I know. I decided to try and get to 900 on Sunday night and Monday morning I saw how many posts I would have to make. :hypno: Almost there though!Game threads and prayer requests…perfect opportunity. Only nine to go!
I’ve given up CAF for Lent a few times. I was all set to do so last year, but then Pope Benedict announced his resignation just two days prior to Ash Wednesday. Knowing all that would be swirling about – with his final weeks, the actual stepping down, the conclave, and the introduction of a new pope – I just couldn’t bring myself to follow through on it.I’m giving up CAF this year.
I’ve tried and failed the past couple of years. I’ve found that it really isn’t too beneficial for my spiritual life. I’m going to let it go for Lent and see how I am.
See you all come Easter!![]()
