Farewell! 👋

I take it you are giving up CAF for Lent? I think I am going to do the same. See you in Easter-tide. 🙂

You’re so close to hitting “Forum Elder” status, too. I suppose it would be unreasonable for you to make 156 more posts today. 😛 I guess it will have to wait. 😃

I gave up FB and CAF for Lent a few years ago and realized I inadvertently cut myself off from necessary support (people I know in real life on FB and spiritual support on CAF).

So, for me, making an effort to stay on CAF is more of a sacrifice of time and attention, and is more spiritually beneficial than fasting from it.

Now, if you don’t see me at Easter, go ahead and PM me. I may have “broken” this small aspect of my Lenten sacrifice. 😊

We’ll check up on you. 🙂

I’m giving up CAF this year.

I’ve tried and failed the past couple of years. I’ve found that it really isn’t too beneficial for my spiritual life. I’m going to let it go for Lent and see how I am.

See you all come Easter! 👋

Take care everyone. Praying for all the CAF members this Lent. God bless you all.

Oh thank heavens I’m not the only person who gives up CAF for Lent! I was worried I would miss out on all the fun you guys would have…😉

I’ll be getting off tonight. Just want to see if I can get to 900 posts first. :choocho:

Game threads and prayer requests…perfect opportunity. Only nine to go!

I know. I decided to try and get to 900 on Sunday night and Monday morning I saw how many posts I would have to make. :hypno: Almost there though!

I know I’m not as “regular” as some of the other posters here, but add me to the list of people you won’t be seeing over Lent! I have found some great support here, and learned a lot, but sometimes CAF can be a huge timewaster for me, time that would be better spent in prayer or with family. :o

I hope everyone has a blessed Lent!

I’ve given up CAF for Lent a few times. I was all set to do so last year, but then Pope Benedict announced his resignation just two days prior to Ash Wednesday. Knowing all that would be swirling about – with his final weeks, the actual stepping down, the conclave, and the introduction of a new pope – I just couldn’t bring myself to follow through on it. :o So I picked something else to do instead. 😛

For all the CAFers giving up CAF for Lent,

Have a very blessed Lent and until we meet again at Easter, may God guide the footsteps of your soul. :gopray2:

Adieu :grouphug:

As much as I enjoy and benefit from CAF, add me to the list of Lent fasters. I have been spending too much time here. Have a blessed Lent, everyone!
