"A group of approximately 20 parents convened on the school’s campus and demanded an explanation from the principal, on Friday.
‘We were extremely livid. They treated her like a criminal, they didn’t even let her get her things out of her classroom,’ said Cintia Cini, who has a child in Morffi’s class.

While she added that Morffi’s sexual orientation wasn’t common knowledge, Cini asserted that was irrelevant. "

There always seems to be a disingenuous amount of negative press towards the Church when a teacher in that works at a Catholic School breaches the morality clause in her employee Contract.

This Headline should read " Catholic school teacher fired just days after breaking her contract.

She broke the contract. She is now suffering the consequences. She will have a hard time proving she was fired unjustly if she takes it to court.

Separation of Church and State. The government can’t get involved as it’s a Church. It works both ways. From Justice Roberts in a similar case “and the Free Exercise Clause prevents it [Federal Government] from interfering with the freedom of religious groups to select their own.”

You don’t get it. She signed a contract and didn’t abide by the conditions of that contract. It wouldn’t matter if she was working in the secular school system instead of in a Catholic school. If the conditions of a contract are violated, there are grounds for termination.

I don’t know what conditions were in her contract. But she knew what was expected of her when she was hired for the job. The fact that she was hired to work in a Catholic school, she knew there were certain rules she’d be expected to follow that may or may not have mattered in the secular school system.

She broke the rules. She violated the conditions of her contract. She is now suffering the consequences of her actions. She’ll have a hard time proving she was fired unjustly if she takes it to court.

Actually, I do get it. She can be fired but she cannot sue for her job back or claim discrimination. That’s the point I am making. The government cannot sue the Church or take actions against her even if the court “feels” she was unjustly fired.

This actually SUPPORTS the Church and it’s action.
