Thank you for my baptism and for my mum and day who presented me for baptism .

Yesterday was 73 years since I was baptised by Father E. Swift S.J. and I still need help in appreciating what being baptised entails .

As St. Gregory Of Nazianzus said : " Baptism is God’s most beautiful and magnificent gift . We call it gift, grace, anointing, enlightenment, garment of immortality, bath of rebirth, seal, and most precious gift. It is called gift because it is conferred on those who bring nothing of their own; grace since it is given even to the guilty; Baptism because sin is buried in the water; anointing for it is priestly and royal as are those who are anointed; enlightenment because it radiates light; clothing since it veils our shame; bath because it washes; and seal as it is our guard and the sign of God’s Lordship."

WOW !!! Thanks .

It is truly right and just,
our duty and our salvation,
to praise your mighty deeds
in the exaltation of all the Saints,
and especially, as we celebrate
the memory of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
to proclaim your kindness
as we echo her thankful hymn of praise.

For truly even to the earth’s ends
you have done great things
and extended your abundant mercy from age to age:
when you looked on the lowliness of your handmaid,
you gave us through her the author of our salvation,
your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Thank you God that I woke to another day and therefore You have given me more opportunities to do good!
