Name calling is not appropriate … Perhaps you should ask yourself why you cannot get the assistance you need? Why can’t you provide proof that you are un-employed? What ‘proof’ were they seeking … what charity did you apporach? Also, why have you not approached your local parish for assistance [or minimally assistance in gaining assistance] … Is there not one doctor in your parish that could either look at you for minimal cost or direct you to where you could get assitance …
For example: My dentist contacted me last year [about something else - really] He is a fellow parishioner - but I thought he was calling because I had not returned the office calls … when I asked him if he was calling because I had not returned the call - he asked why I had not? Now I have not had dental insurance for over 15 years - but the reason why I had not returned the calls was because I was un-employed … that dentist told me to come in … he did all of the work I needed done and did not charge me - and it was more then just a routine cleaning.
Our parish St Vicent de Paul conference maintains a food back and provide assistance with rent, utility and other assistance to everyone - non-parishioners and parishioners. Our Knights of Columbus have helped variouspeople obtain lots of needs - medical, rental etc … even moving people when they have been evicted … many parishes have hosted fund raisers for medical care xpenses …
Maybe you are the reason you can’t get the help you need

Not those who are ready to help …
