I am 54 and have recently been diagnosed with Early Onset Dementia. For years I had a feeling that I might have dementia as I was becoming more and more forgetful and having strange episodes of suddenly not knowing where I was or walking into a bank to make a deposit only to find out that I didn’t have an account at that bank. In the last few months I have been forgetting to feed my cat and make lunch for my mom whom I was caring for (she is with my sister now). Then a few weeks ago my family…

Every night I pray the Surrender Rosary. I know that is what Our Lord wants me to do: Thy Will be done, Jesus. You take over! Mother Mary, guide me. Jesus, I abandon myself to you!

Complete trust and confidence in His Goodness and Mercy, knowing that whatever befalls me is for my Eternal Good and best for me in this world.

Pray that when the going gets rough, and it will, and I feel as if I am losing my mind for sure, and I will, that I remember these words I now type and, even if I have to pray it between clenched teeth, pray “Thy Will be done, my Jesus - You take over!!!”

God reward you abundantly for your kindness.
