I often see posts which tell of perceived liturgical abuse (valid and no so valid), indeed I am guilt of it myself but I thought it would be nice to have a thread about what you really like and appreciate about parishes. Perhaps if we share all the good things going on we can also share ideas with our parishes and make things even better.
For me I love how, in the parish I attend, the Mass is celebrated at a dignified pace, the homily is always gives insight into the readings for the day, we celebrate and give thanks for achievements and special occasions as a Christian community and reflect when someone has died, we have time to socialise after Mass, our priest has a good sense of humour (vital in my opinion), we witnes to the Catholic faith through public acts and through our prayers and we have regular adoration and confession times, the music is a good combination of old and new, I could go on.
So what is good in your parish? What do you have that we could all maybe share and use to build a vibrant Catholic community?
