It is broad. Maybe the Nicene Creed is a good place to start. In generalities, there’s very little in the Creed that Mormons don’t believe. Where they diverge is:

"God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
one in Being with the Father. "

The Trinity is a huge difference, because it the foundation of many other doctrines.

and:

“With the Father and the Son
he is worshipped and glorified.”

Mormons don’t pray to the Son or to the Spirit. It’s not a far stretch to say, Mormons don’t worship Jesus, and certainly, I’ve never heard of a Mormon worshipping the Holy Spirit.

and:

"We believe in one holy
catholic and apostolic Church. "

…is definitely not a Mormon thing.

Other than that, they believe all that is the Nicene Creed:

I think that that is amazing that that group continues to protect what they believe is sacred ground.
 
Would you expect a person becoming Mormon from Muslim to carry over their Muslim beliefs? No.

This is the time when you should immerse yourself in learning about the Church and what she teaches all of us about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and how we are to live for God. Learn about the Sacraments and the wonderful grace they give.

Don’t try to compare to Mormonism.

I grew up on the boarder of Kansas and Missouri my neighbor was RLDS at the time now community of Christ I know it is not the same. But I also know your churches little place next to their large temple and the visitor center of the LDS church.

Though before our baptism and at Easter when all the baptized renew their baptismal promises, there are specific questions we answer in the affirmative.

V. Do you renounce Satan?
R. I do.

V. And all his works?
R. I do.

V. And all his empty show?
R. I do.

V. Do you believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth?
R. I do.

V. Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered death and was buried, rose again from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father?
R. I do.

V. Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting?
R. I do.

Thanks for knowing what I need but really I am going to leave that between God and me I believe He knows what is best. And I don’t think you want to claim to speak for Him.

It is a promise, to deliberately turn away from evil, distancing ourselves from Satan. Declaring our allegiance and loyalty to Jesus Christ. Renouncing Satan as the enemy of Jesus Christ.

Then to all those questions I say yes I have always said yes. I have believed in the oneness of God ever since I knew him. I know that all three Are one in substance power purpose. I have always believed that even as a Mormon having no introduction to catholic I have been pointing to that in scripture for years in the Mormon church. It is in the Book of Mormon and the lectures of faith. But mormons told me I was an apostate and had the devil in me.

I. THE FALL OF THE ANGELS

391 Behind the disobedient choice of our first parents lurks a seductive voice, opposed to God, which makes them fall into death out of envy.266 Scripture and the Church’s Tradition see in this being a fallen angel, called “Satan” or the “devil”.267 The Church teaches that Satan was at first a good angel, made by God: "The devil and the other demons were indeed created naturally good by God, but they became evil by their own doing."268

392 Scripture speaks of a sin of these angels.269 This “fall” consists in the free choice of these created spirits, who radically and irrevocably rejected God and his reign. We find a reflection of that rebellion in the tempter’s words to our first parents: "You will be like God."270 The devil “has sinned from the beginning”; he is “a liar and the father of lies”.271

393 It is the irrevocable character of their choice, and not a defect in the infinite divine mercy, that makes the angels’ sin unforgivable. "There is no repentance for the angels after their fall, just as there is no repentance for men after death."272

394 Scripture witnesses to the disastrous influence of the one Jesus calls “a murderer from the beginning”, who would even try to divert Jesus from the mission received from his Father.273 "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil."274 In its consequences the gravest of these works was the mendacious seduction that led man to disobey God.

395 The power of Satan is, nonetheless, not infinite. He is only a creature, powerful from the fact that he is pure spirit, but still a creature. He cannot prevent the building up of God’s reign. Although Satan may act in the world out of hatred for God and his kingdom in Christ Jesus, and although his action may cause grave injuries - of a spiritual nature and, indirectly, even of a physical nature- to each man and to society, the action is permitted by divine providence which with strength and gentleness guides human and cosmic history. It is a great mystery that providence should permit diabolical activity, but "we know that in everything God works for good with those who love him."275
 
This is getting a bit of topic. If you want to know what Catholics believe, you are free to start a thread on it. No offense, it’s just getting hard for me to keep up with these posts. I look forward to seeing it.
 
I am sure you were exaggerating but there is a small Catholic presence in Rexburg:grin: Based out of the St.Anthony parish which just celebrated its 100th anniversary! I only bring it up as we are in need of your prayers help to spread the truth in this very Mormon area 😊

His truth is all ready there. Go talk to your neighbors. You take your truth and share it with them. Please don’t judge these people as if they are wicked or unrighteous. Or believe in a diiferent God than you. By their fruits ye shall no them. Could they possibly be as bad as people say they are if they are so good and have it in their heart to do good? Take your knowledge about the trinity and Mary and the saints etc. Teach them what it means to truly be Catholic. Mormons are clambering to talk about the heavenly queen but they can never know who she really is as long as they have an incorrect view of who she really is. But don’t believe that the message you have to teach them is something they need to accept to be readeamed. The One True God had already redeemed them through Christ. The work of redeaming man was finished on the cross. God himself said so when Christ said. It is finnished. Go to them and offer your perspective as a catholic because it is beautiful and perfect representation of the message God has been dieing literally to deliver. But please don’t be so prideful in thinking your perspective is the only true perspective, Mormons’s perspective just focuses on God from a different perspective. Go learn what that is. Those things that you believe you are different with them see how through God’s righteous perfect complete perspective can bring the two of you or all of you together as one. Worshiping the One True God. Who is Jesus the Christ amen. This is the prayer God has for you in this matter.
