I’m Catholic, not Mormon. However I’ve noticed that most lay Catholics have read very little of the early Church fathers. They make broad blanket statements that contradict their teachings. The issues with LDS doctrine are severe and profound, but not always how they lay person lays it out.

I think most Catholics are taught that by our baptism, we are made heirs with Christ, which includes sharing in His divinity. Most don’t make a connection of this teaching, to Mormonism, who declare humans become gods…going beyond sharing in God’s divinity to being Divine. We don’t even believe that about Mary! And she has the highest place in heaven for us next to her Son.

Desire is what you want from the world. I want for nothing from this world. My desire is to receive and experience anything God decides to deliver and offer to me. I desire to feel his love and peace at all times. I desire not to have regret and or bitterness in my heart toward God or man. I desire to keep myself as obedient to God’s scripture as well as the personal inspiration he gives to me.
Passion is what you want and have to give to the world. The passion inside of me is to be as true as I can to the God that brings light, life, and love to my life. Who inspires and empowers me to do good and be as righteous and holy as I can with his help.
I know the God I worship intimately. I have gone into the wilderness many times to encounter Him. I have traveled to many religious faiths in order to help me see God through others perspective and the more prospective I receive gives me a clearer more complete understanding of The One True God and my relationship with Him.

“Mormon Doctrine” may not have been officially accepted as LDS doctrine, but it certainly was accepted by the rank and file as official doctrine, for a rather long time. Doctrines have changed, as have been pointed out hundreds of times.

When the Mormons stepped foot in Utah, there were more men than women. That has been the case throughout all the polygamist history. Also, the church continued to practice polygamy after the Manifesto. Your own church recognizes and admits to that.

Yes, SchrodingersCatBoy, Hell exists. It’s real. Jesus spoke of it often enough in the Holy Bible. I guess your faux “Moroni” didn’t know anything about it. I guess Joseph Smith didn’t speak of it. I guess your alleged “prophets” throughout the years inc Monson haven’t spoken of it. Be warned. Hell exists. And if you don’t want to find yourself there, you need to learn GOD’s Truth before it’s too late. The fate of your soul depends on it.
FYI, about the orders we follow, they come from Jesus Himself. The Catholic Church obeys God. If you consider the Truth of the written Word a “scare tactic,” then you prove once again that you and the members of the Mormon church aren’t Christians. You see, Christians read and obey Jesus Who tells us what we need to know not what we want to hear. Jesus isn’t into “ear tickling.” Neither is His Church.

In a way it is a scare tactic. Either you choose to follow Christ or go to a place absent of Gods Grace. Hell is a real place. So are you saying your god isn’t a merciful god and not everyone can be forgiven? Typical Mormon god.

The reasons Mormons believe this faith is because it’s a strong delusion. Just because you get “confirmation” doesn’t mean that’s the right faith. Christ wanrned that if it were possible, even the elect could be deceived… Are we seeing that here? Time to decide. We live in the time of many “christs”

Yet if you look at census records. The male female ration was very even. The reason there were more women then men when they entered the Valley was because most of the men had left their families to join the Mormon battalion make sure you are taking a Mormon class with all the history not just what supports their position. You will get a deeper view and more accurate view of what Joseph really experienced and did and why he did it. Not some white washed Image that paints him as some kind of perfect human that delivered a perfect revelation. One thing I am finding interesting is some of the things they are finding out about the history of Ireland is more similar to what is found in the Book of Mormon story line much more than any kind of Native American story line.
