Dear Brother Bishops,As you have heard, today President Obama announced an upcoming change in the federal rule requiring most private health plans in the U.S. to include coverage for contraception, sterilization and some drugs that can induce abortions.

Don’t they have to provide the contraception in Wisconsin already? Same with a bunch of other states? :confused:

Swiss Guy: Hi there.🙂 I think (and I could be wrong) the state mandates can be avoided if the institution self-insures. I’ll have to dig up the reference.
 
Something that concerns me that I have heard no talk about.
Isn’t the president setting a precedent that other presidents can follow? If he can interfere with the Catholic church is any organization safe? What about unions and clubs. Will a future president try to take over the UAW and AFL-CIO since the precedent has been set? Will any organization be safe?I
