That is the most ladened St. Joseph’s table I have ever seen! A parish that I attended set up such a table asking parishioners to bring bread and baked goods in observation of St. Joseph’s feast day. This array of food out does what all those parishioners provided.

I tried this King Arthur Flour recipe. The results were similar to Pepperidge Farm white bread only better.

@Donkey Thanks for posting the King Arthur bread recipe. I used the bread machine version to make this week’s loaf of bread. It came out terrific! Last week I baked a loaf of Anadama bread which is darker and more dense than this white bread. It’s great toasted. The King Arthur white bread will be great for sandwiches. Have already put this recipe on my save and repeat list!

I am so finished with store bought sliced bread. Nothing compares to home made taste and texture. Baking is easy enough. Although homemade bread is great, I actually eat less because it is so satisfying. (Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

Has anyone heard from @jvickers? I’m used to reading their cartoon with my morning coffee and their absence is throwing my whole day off. 🙃
 
Not for 15 days and that’s too long. I just messaged him, so hopefully we will hear back soon.
I’m hoping he’s taking a rest - I recall him mentioning a while back that he was really working hard to find cartoons to post.
