I love it. It’s just like what happened one Halloween. A child came to my door for Trick or Treat, and also was collecting money for UNICEF. I asked “Where does the money go?” He pointed to the slot in his donation box and said “Right here.”

That would have to hard to resist for me, but it would have earned me a couple of swats.

Yeah I got it. 🙂 I was guessing that was what was happening from the “find x” rather than “solve for x” thing. I carefully placed the centimeters in the response instead of just 5 to make the response super literal.

Have a wunnerful St. Paddy’s day.

Ahhh…

I’m sorry I missed that little oversight in detail in your answer.

I figured the same thing, in that the problem would have said, “solve for x,” instead of “find x.”

It has been a long time since I have taken any Math class. The last time that I saw any kind of Math formulas was in an Excel class.

This is me, regarding any kind of advanced Math! LOL!!–> :running_woman:

The teacher must have given the student full credit, for following the directions.

Similarly, my son was asked, on his English homework, what the words sufficient and contribute have in common.

His answer: They have the same number of letters.

Is there another answer? I cannot imagine what the teacher might have been looking for, unless it was the letters common to both words (and in which case it remains a stoopid and poorly worded question)
