This is antisemitism?! ROFTL!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I’m not sure what Mr. Foxman is smoking!

He says,
“While she is entitled to her beliefs, using mainstream media to espouse the idea that Judaism needs to be replaced with Christianity and that each individual Jew is somehow deficient and needs to be “perfected,” is rank Christian supersessionism and has been rejected by the Catholic Church and the vast majority of mainstream Christian denominations.”
The Catholic Church doesn’t teach that! And never has! Nor did Vatican II change anything Mr. Foxman.

He just simply uses the Holocaust and the issue of Pope Pius XII as cover for his anti-church anti-papal agenda. Not to mention he misrepresented the Church’s stance on the conversion of the Jews.
 
the reason they are upset is because ann coulter was very flippant in her response. this brings up bad memories of unjust jewish persecution by christians. coulter’s statement may be taken that jews need to be converted. the catholic church doesn’t force conversion on anyone; people moved by the grace of God respond by entering into the catholic church.

the reason the jews did not accept Christ is a mystery. maybe God sees that some good can come out it. in the end, we know they will enter into the church. the jews are our elder brother. they shouldn’t be seen as pagans or mormons.

Coulter is right. This is just rich liberal Jews having another cryfest.
 
As for Abe Foxman, he is a Jewish-supremacist. Foxman has stated that only Jews (no gentiles) died in the holocaust and that Jewish lives are worth more than Armenian lives.

Where did Foxman say that only Jews died in the Holocaust? Not that I don’t believe you. I just want to confirm it is all. Thank you.

He didn’t say outright that no gentile died, but he greatly diminished their deaths and basically said holocaust remembrance should focus on Jews and no one else.

Why is it that people say it was “6 million Jews who died in the Holocaust”? It was 12 million people half of them Jews! Abe Foxman and his anti-pope squad are out to silence the Church. There’s anti-semitism yes, but it doesn’t have it’s origins in Christianity. Right?

That is so true bones! The Catholic Church (including Pius XII) consitently opposed anti-semetism, and yet liberal Jews still throw a fit.

The ADL is basically a Jewish-supremacist group. Even though Hitler killed more Slavs than Jews, no one ever hears a thing about the Slavs. And the reason is because Slavic-Americans don’t control Hollywood.

in my opinion, people like abe foxman are partly to blame for antisemitism.

i don’t think anyone likes this guy except crybaby anti-catholic jews. .

Foxman also screams in rage at holocaust deniers, yet Foxman denied the Armenian genocide happened! Foxman totally opposes America recognizing the Armenian genocide, and when asked if any Armenians died, Foxman stated “I don’t know”.

If there is any proof that Foxman sees Jews as superior beings, that is it right there!
 
I went out and bought Ann Coulter’s new book last night. I’ve almost read the whole thing…just a few chapters left. :cool:

Ann Coulter has offended me a few times with some of her jokes about women, but I don’t freak out about it, because I know everything she says is tongue-in-cheek. Sheesh. She’s harmless. Some people need to lighten up.

And anyway, nothing she says will ever be as tasteless as what so many Jewish comedians, like Sarah Silverman, say about Christians.

This I know for a fact, if you do not die as a Christian and manage to make it to Heaven by God’s most merciful grace, You will become one when there. Heaven is full of Christians.👍

Things are getting ridiculous. Jews disproportionately control the top echelons of power, society, and the major media outlets. It’s not a conspiracy theory, and it’s neither a good thing, nor a bad thing…it’s simply a fact. Regardless of these societal privileges, however, they still feel threatened enough by the things individuals say. Why does Foxman care so much about what a comedian, or about what a priest in a foreign country says? What is he afraid of? Judging by the reaction, you’d think we were on the brink of another Holocaust. How many people these days actually passionately hate Jews and want them dead? :rolleyes: Only a small number of loons who tend to hang around radical Islamic, and neo-nazi circles. He needs to get a grip.

I’ve heard the term “completed Jew”, which, if I think Coulter used instead of “perfected Jew” might have been easier to digest.

lol!! The people who are up in arms over the phrase “perfected Jew” wouldn’t take the phrase “completed Jew” any better.

By the way, I can’t believe I forgot to mention this earlier, but Ann Coulter is actually dating a Jew named Andrew Stein.
 
“Completed Jew” or “perfected Jew” would probably have offended the ADL equally. They both indicate a lack of something, and, sadly, most modern Jews are no longer looking for the Messiah. No longer seeking Him, they look to social justice programs and charity to provide completion, frequently including pro-abortion causes. Like most secularists, they deny that they lack anything. (The Orthodox Jews are different, but they are no longer the majority in the Jewish community.)

Also, I heard Scott Hahn mention on an EWTN series that historians generally agree that most Jews did become Christians. The pre-Christian census and the first few post-crucifixtion censuses show a sharp decline (about 90%) in the numbers of Jews in the Roman Empire, only partially explained by the scattering of the Jews out of Palestine after the destruction of the Second Temple in the late first century.

Unfortunately, I can point to exactly the reason why Foxman claims that the Catholic Church has repudiated all efforts to convert the Jews: the document from the USCCB in 2002 that specifically denied that Jews need to become Christians, stating that the Jewish covenant was sufficient for salvation.

Rosalind Moss (a convert to Catholicism from Judaism by way of evangelical Protestantism) wrote a reply article that argued against the USCCB document. Below is the link to the This Rock article she wrote. This was the cover article, described on the cover as, “Why Jews Deserve the Gospel.”

The report “Reflections on Covenant and Mission” is the last report listed on the Jewish Relations page at the USCCB website, although there is no link to it, unlike the other reports and most of the news conference statements, up to and including the news release for 1 June, 2007. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have been recalled.
 
If Jews got to know Christ and embraced Him, would that be an impediment for them?
