This post is a voluntary peaceful boycott of companies and media that is supporting same sex marriage after yesterdays unjust court decision. Note this is only voluntary, if you have to shop at a store because it is cheaper and you are in debt do not feel guilty. If its going to cause a fight with your wife, it may be not wirth an argument. Please list any company and media agency that are promoting the Supreme Courts decision. Then when deciding to shop or watch media you can choose to promote Businesses that have been neutral or that support marriage as our creator defined. This peaceful boycott will show that the American People did not vote for this. You may also choose to unlike the boycots from your social media sites… I will start the list with a company that chose to promote the decision by changing thier logo:

I’m sorry, but didn’t people have a fit when there were calls to boycott businesses who did not want to be compelled to participate in same-sex marriages, because we should all have the right to freedom of conscience? How is this any different?

I’m working hard to become a well-informed, well-educated Christian, but I just don’t see the Christian spirit in this kind of action. I won’t retaliate against people because I disagree with their actions. Jesus sat with the sinners, and so will I, in the hopes that my charitable spirit will move them to see what God can do in their lives.

I heard Ben and Jerry’s has a cookie dough ice cream called “I Dough I Dough” and will donate a percentage of its sales to the human rights campaign.

These boycott movements are pointless. They only serve to stroke the egos of people who think they’re causing tidal waves and making defiant statements by doing so, when all they’re really doing is splashing in the kiddie pool.

This will be a VERY LONG list. Instead it would be better to make a list of companies that do not support the decision and patronize them, like Chik-Fil-A.

Precisely. It’s not a question of “who does” now, but rather “who doesn’t”. The only way to avoid such things altogether would be to go live out in the wilderness.I once heard it said that you’d be appalled if you knew where every last dollar you spent ended up.

Haven’t had one in awhile but I used to enjoy a Chik-Fil-A chocolate shake now and then. I’m not too keen on cookie dough ice cream though. Not one of my favorite flavors. But then I’m not opposed to human rights. So I’ll see. It’s kind of expensive. Chik-Fil-A can be too depending on the menu item. But sometimes my grocery has BOGO. So I might still buy a pint since I heard Ben & Jerry’s is contributing part of their proceeds of each pint to the cause for human rights.

I feel your outrage, and t may make you feel better, or feel empowered, but it will do nothing to change the SCOTUS decision and the ramifications.

A more prudent action, that no body seems to have raised (perhaps because expressing outrage is easier), is to evangelize non-believers and catechize both non-believers and believers who where not properly catechized, as to how Sacramental Marriage (Holy Matrimony) differs from secular marriage contracts.

Peace and all good!

'Can’t tell you how many “disagreeements” I’ve had with my husband on not buying major products like washing machines and cars from companies who support abortions.

Isn’t that what faith is all about, the small sacrifices we have to make each day on on path toward God.

Compared to the early martyrs who had to sacrifice everything including their lives, our path has been soooooo easy.

Here is a list of the 379 companies who supported gay marriage. Since we cannot boycott all, maybe boycott the 16 with the pictures as they are more than likely major supporters. Also write a letter telling them why you are boycotting them. That is most important.

Both Coke AND Pepsi!! Now I will be forced to drink generic soda or worse yet WATER.

The only way you are going to have a successful boycott is if you target one or two companies and get many people to boycott them all at once. Your best bet would be to target a smaller company. Of course, you have to target ones you actually visit. 😃 For instance, if you don’t buy from General Electric and you boycott them, you haven’t achieved nothing. 😛

It’s possible, but I’d say any boycott shy of a few hundred thousand people would have no effect. For smaller companies, I’d say you need at least 50,000 before you’d hit them where it hurts. 😃

A year ago there was a huge boycott of anything From Microsoft, Intel, Apple, or Google. The solution was to buy AMD and either HP, Acer, Samsung, or Lenovo, without an operating system, and install Linux/FreeBSD/OpenBSD since they were the big ones that didn’t support Gay Marriage, Abortion, and several other issues brought up on the technology board I post on.

Also Corki’s link might be a great starting point on where to start on a boycott.

I don’t think the supreme court justices is supposed to be swayed by public opinion. They’re supposed to be swayed by the opinion of the man who selected them. If this was voted on in congress, then a boycott might be helpful, but I don’t see how it would effect a supreme court decision.

I couldn’t get the link to load- it took me directly to the App Store. Can anyone list the companies that went out of their way to celebrate the ruling? My husband and I have already decided to boycott the businesses that were “in our face” yesterday- and already it is very hard!! We LOVE Uber, use it every weekend and are rated 5 stars, so never have a wait. Last night, we drove my husband’s car, instead, and took a cab home. I know that the loss of our business won’t greatly impact these companies, but spending our money to support these companies greatly impacts our souls and we refuse to do it.

Amazon, Target, coke, Pepsi, Chase Bank, Ben and Jerrys. I was glad to see Walmart not listed! When their organization went against the RFRA in Arizona, I promptly emailed their company and Apple also (which is on the list) I told both I wouldn’t buy Apple products any more and I’d refrain from shopping at WalMart. I got several form letters back, but it’s really difficult as most companies have gay employees and probably are catering to them. Oh, Microsoft and Barnes and Noble also are too. Too many companies listed, but on principle I have managed to avoid shopping at Target and Penny’s. Guess I’ll be going back to Wal Mart now.

I’ve had to unlike several facebook pages, a few I was shocked to say “it’s about love” (no, it’s about a perverted lifestyle!)

Vermont Teddy bear company
Chipotles
Theo Chocolate (this surprised me!)
Dr Bronner soap
Yes to carrots - facial wipes

And several others…one made me upset because they had temporarily removed their candy from shelves a year ago so they could redo the recipe to remove soy and I had been hoping it’d be back in local stores soon…now I have no dye free m&m candy alternative to buy.

What disgusts me is they keep saying it’s about equality for marriage…no, it’s legalizing a perverted lifestyle even more.

Thank you! Now we have to find another bank. We were in the process of moving to Chase from Wells Fargo (due to the same sex ads of Wells Fargo). Luckily, we haven’t settled in to Chase yet. 😛

Many, most-- I’m thinking *all *-- the people and companies and media who support same-sex marriage, also support “traditional” marriage.

It’s not a question of being on one side or the other.

They support both to exist, together, in harmony.

.
If you think that two people of the same sex can be married, then you do NOT subscribe to a traditional concept of marriage. Traditional marriage =/= straight people being allowed to marry. You can’t just say, “Straight people can still marry, thus traditional civil marriage still exists.” If we allow for unions other than one man and one woman, then we don’t have traditional marriage (not civilly, anyway), regardless of whether men and women can still get married.

Obama had the White House lit up with rainbow colors, and Ms. Clinton added rainbow colors to her campaign logo, all to “celebrate” the court decision.

Let’s boycott Democrats!
