I’m a weekend warrior and not a theologian. I think the problem arises from intepretation of the verses in the Bible. First let’s acknowledge there are very few verses that cover this topic.
At the beginning of the Bible G 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
How did God make man in his image if God was without form or substance, without a body. I think Catholics focus on the soul and completely ignore the physical aspect of man.
Yes we disagree on interpreting this verse,
NO we don’t disagree on God’s commandments to us, how to live our lives.
I would have sympathy for people calling LDS not Christian if we only had 6 commandments instead of the same 10 as you, etc
