I suppose the bottom line is:
if you had to be judged by one or the other, who would you rather it be?
 
Catholic’s are the only ones that go back to tradition. From Jesus to the apostles. St. John the apostle put hands upon St. Ignatius of Antioch he wrote in 110 AD " They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the Flesh of Our Savior Jesus Christ, flesh which suffered for our sins and which the father, in his goodness, raised up again. " This was written when the apostles were still alive. The Father’s of the Church knew what the Eucharist was his real body and blood under the appearance of bread and wine. In another letter Saint Ignatius wrote I desire the bread of God, which ( IS ) the Flesh of Jesus Christ. Notice he did not say a symbol he said it IS the body in blood of Jesus.

St. Linus is the first Pope or another word meaning Father. 2 Timothy 4:21 mentions it. Peter and Paul lay their hands on Linus and from there on you have what Catholic’s call the papacy 267 going all the way back to Jesus. Every other religion is formed by men and heresy because it is not established on Jesus Christ. As Protestants, we are all United in Christ but as Catholics we have the fullness what Jesus left us that is his body and blood in the Eucharist.

I know some people will think there is condemnation in this. But I say who am I to judge.

Paul doesn’t judge anyone. In fact, he clearly states that he doesn’t even judge himself. Only Jesus can judge us. Paul is following Jesus’s teachings. Even Peter said that Paul is difficult to understand sometimes. I get the sense that you aren’t understanding Paul very well.

Remember Paul’s goal is to teach the new Christians on how to be Christians. Jesus wasn’t dealing with a new group of converts. He worked with his main 12 and then a few hundred close disciples.

because of your misunderstanding of Paul and the basis of some of your questions. This isn’t meant to insult you but to show that the issue might not be with Paul but with you.

Paul is teaching them what Jesus said. Not everything Jesus said and did was written down. The Apostles taught orally and by letter what Jesus taught. I think you are not understanding the purpose of non-gospel sacred scripture.
 
Do you mean jesus had a method of relation or relating to people that can’t be understood from the written record?
 
Possibly, I am doing a “private interpretation”, could totally be wrong.
 
Very interesting. Thank you. I guess it would follow that Paul’s message was not, This is how Jesus should have taught! But rather, if Jesus were speaking to you in Judaea, this is what he would have said? @vseDriver@kei

That is a good response.
I never thought that the good part of the forgiveness and resurrection is reason to not go and get a communion.
I guess people are afraid of the hell part. that was in there too.

ok. Kei. What is knowledge? Not having a book thrown at you or being screamed in your ear, God was here? What is knowledge? It is a gift of God in Isaiah ? the gift of the spirit.
 
Knowledge from observing natural law, knowledge from Church teaching, etc. that the grave sin is grave.
