So some body tells me that the grave sin is grave and now I know it?
Haven’t you heard that blood letting cures headaches?
And memory loss, and fever etc.
I understand the catholic need to defend catholic teaching.
But natural law by observation?
what does that mean @Kei?
How can one observe natural law?
example?

Upon critical thinking, other philosophers have come across the natural law.

yes. wiki sources say that also.
are these philosophers of critical thinking common, uncommon, or rare?
i guess said is that what good is it if only the great philosophers find it.

I propose a better word than know is the old word “accept”
some groups say they “take” it, meaning take it for granted, I think.

You do not have to be a great philosopher, but undertaking of reason, or should I say, the Word would help

But, primarily, we all have a moral law written on our hearts, even if not the minutiae.

Maybe we have never tempted to know what our moral law it?
for example, theft of an car. how could i have the idea it is very bad
when i don’t have license use one?

You asking that question let’s me know you believe stealing to be wrong, for example.

i used the example of a car on purpose.
when i was kid, if i saw a person get into a car i woulld assume the owner
or a borrower.
maybe an earlier state of mind where “CAR” is a pooled resource, like how we
all pray to same GOD. We all drive the same car, primitively.

A child does not have a fully formed conscience or capacity for reason.
Not everyone I believe prays to the same God. I would wish so.

interesting. we see illness like the mental ones go on and they say a lot of childhood is influencing.
what of a child’s development? you say natural law says a child cannot fully conscience or reason capacity either have.
Is that a natural law observation?

consequent. children accept god, and we have to accept God like children?

Well, child-like.
Children don’t have fully developed brains.
But, they are pure.

sorry but that sounds evasive.
on war. both sides believe natural law supports them usually.
one can even say, we know we are wrong, but we have to defend ourselves
from attack because you have no sovereignty here. if we want to be a prodigal nation
then we will be. so even though we know its debauchery, whats worse is your
imposition on us by attack

I say children can sets traps for each other.
they do it with games and hide and seek all the time.
Jesus saw the children loved him and he embraced them.
Kids everywhere , well almost everywhere, show trust and
acceptance to those who do good for them. Since God does good,
we should be like children in our acceptance of him. Still,
the “do good to them” is critical. Kids can’t see badness because
they haven’t had been taught it by us yet. Say “Don’t cross the road,”
kids won’t know some body might swerve them on purpose.
I would venture tha war isn’t just.
each side claims God is with them.

that isn’t what is meant by a ‘just war’. For example, WWII was a just war for the allies because their purpose in going to war was to save lives whereas for the Axis it was not a just war since their purpose for the war was conquest and genocide.

Hmmm. Tha dictator and his crew thought different. Said the enemy was occupying his country. And making his people extinct slowly like a disease. War was justified defense like for alliance powers.

there was no enemy occupying Germany at the time Hitler came to power. There was no evidence that the German people were becoming extinct. You can’t have a ‘just’ war based on lies. The members of the Axis went to war solely for the purpose of conquest and revenge.
