Thank you so much, Melissa, for starting this. What an awesome idea! I’m taking Crescenzio Sepe. I’m also going to pray a Novena to the Holy Spirit for all the cardinals. Come, Holy Spirit!Hurray! We’re well over 2/3 covered. If we can get these remaining 34 covered, then the double coverages can begin. Thanks to everyone participating and pointing the thread out in other spots on Catholic Answers!

You know, I’ve seen quite a few things in the media, secular and Catholic, about how the Church is in such “crisis” or “turmoil” and how the faithful are “confused,” or “anxious” (in a bad way), or whatever. I, for one, am hopeful and excited and think good things are coming in the Church with our next Holy Father, though they may be at the same time painful and may not seem “good” to many, especially outside the Church. Pruning is always painful. These are amazing and extraordinary times we’re living in. I think in the very near future God will be intervening in our world in ways that He has never done before, leaving this crop of virulent, militant, utterly prideful in their supposed “reason,” and oftentimes hateful atheists that has sprouted in recent years utterly shocked, dumbfounded, and speechless, and leading (some of them, anyway) to repent of their ways and be converted. “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” I think God has had enough of humanity’s wicked, wicked ways, including the slaughter of hundreds of millions of precious children that He has created in His own Image and Likeness and given to us to be loved and cherished, as opposed to being literally torn apart from their mothers’ wombs at the hands of supposed “doctors.” It seems to me like the cup of our (including my own, often) wickedness is full and those who would convert have converted, so that there’s no more reason for delay. Pray, pray, pray!
God bless you all.
