Great news about the Conclave start date

UpUp, you had me really worried for a moment! When you said “National Catholic Reporter” my reaction was .

I popped back over to Jimmy’s site to double-check, and was relieved to find it’s the National Catholic Register, rather than the National Catholic Reporter.

As far as I’ve seen, the *Register *is an orthodox publication.

I haven’t downloaded the app yet, I’m just going by what Jimmy said on his site. Can you confirm for us if it’s really the Register or the Reporter?

You are correct. It is the “Register.”

It is among the first places I go in the morning for my Catholic news fix.

I wouldn’t wrap dead fish in a copy of the “Reporter.”

Probably couldn’t even if I wanted to.

It’s hard to wrap dead fish with a computer screen.

In the News section, my Droid app (downloaded from the Google Play Store) includes links to both the Register and the Reporter.

You’re thinking of Britain’s Cardinal Keith O’Brien that resigned. the one I chose is Cardinal Edwin Frederick O’Brien, the former Archbishop of Baltimore.

I just read a bit about him. With all his travel and military experience, he’d make a good Pope.

I have adopted Cardinal Betori on this site, Cardinal Barbarin on another site and my husband adopted Cardinal Danneel on another site. I’m starting to feel like I know them, haha!

I agree with that. I have adopted one Cardinal here and one at another site. It’s been so interesting to find out about these men and where they are from and what they’ve been doing. I think this conclave is going to be very special to me because of that.

And just think, one of us here is praying for the Cardinal who will become our next Pope! How exciting is that?

With the conclave starting on Tuesday evening, we will most likely have a new Pope by this time in one week.

Praying hard and long for all of our Cardinals with extra special prayers for my two Cardinals.
