Just sharing some info. I posted a separate thread in Catholic News, too, but I wanted especially to share with everyone on this thread 🙂

I found this article which has an excellent summary of the Conclave process and estimated times for those of us in the US.

Here are some highlights:
  • The first smoke signal can be expected about 7 p.m. [2 pm ET] Tuesday, after the first vote.
  • Beginning Wednesday, smoke would be expected at about noon [7 am ET] and again about 7 p.m [2 pm ET].
  • However, if a pope is elected on the first ballot of the morning, the white smoke would billow forth between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. [5:30 am and 6 am ET]. If he is elected on the first ballot of the afternoon, the white smoke would be seen between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. [12:30 pm and 1 pm ET].
  • After a white smoke signal, it takes about 40-45 minutes before the announcement of the name of the candidate who won. He must accept the office, change to white vestments and the cardinals pledge their obedience and pray again.
The full article with much more detail is available here: catholicworldreport.com/Blog/2056/The_schedule_for_the_conclave_with_US_times.aspx

And here is a time zone converter for those outside the US and Europe:timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

Thanks for sharing! I added Vatican City to my cell phone so I’ll know when to keep an eye on the news!

Thank you! Praying for our Cardinals!
:signofcross:
Give us a Shepherd after your own heart–endowed with supernatural wisdom and courage, with unshakable faith and deep humility, capable of sacrificial service. May he be zealous to defend Holy Mother Church, her sacred teaching, the integrity of her sacraments and her persecuted members throughout the world.

We invoke the Holy Spirit upon the coming conclave–to reveal with clarity and convincing force the man You have chosen to succeed Peter in these trying times. And may the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Help of Christians and Mother of the Church, inspire and uphold all the Cardinal Electors, thwart any interference of the evil one and protect the next Bishop of Rome from every effort to harm or disarm him. Amen.

Shower him with blessings, strengthen his resolve and keep him from every harm. Let him be a light for those seeking the Truth and an inspiration to many.

Pater noster qui es in caelis:
sanctificetur Nomen Tuum;
adveniat Regnum Tuum;
fiat voluntas Tua,
sicut in caelo, et in terra.
Panem nostrum cotidianum da nobis hodie;
et dimitte nobis debita nostra,
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris;
et ne nos inducas in tentationem;
sed libera nos a Malo. Amen

AVE MARIA, gratia plena, Dominus tecum.
Benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Jesus.
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen. :highprayer::crossrc:

For Cardinal Serra

Lord God in Heaven, grant that Holy Spirit will guide the conclave at this time. Grant that the successor You have chosen will guide God’s children and the Church throughout the world and through these challenging times. Guide and protect him in upholding the Faith and grant that he stand vigilant with Christ’s Church. Amen.

For Cardinal Hummes, Cardinal Toppo, and Cardinal Dolan:
Lord God in Heaven, grant that Holy Spirit will guide the conclave at this time. Grant that the successor You have chosen will guide God’s children and the Church throughout the world and through these challenging times. Guide and protect him in upholding the Faith and grant that he stand vigilant with Christ’s Church. Amen.
Amen!

Just finished offering a Rosary for the discernment of Cardinal George and all of the Cardinal-Electors in hopes that God will give us the Pope we need to become the Church we could and should be, if not for our pride and disobedience.

Peace of Christ,

I just saw black smoke on TV so no pope yet. Let’s keep praying.
Thanks, Lisa, now I can go to bed (it’s nearly 11pm here) - I can’t find any live coverage at the moment where I am, so I really appreciate this. 😉

Another poster pointed out that www.nbcnews.com had a live chimney cam. Votes are scheduled for 10:30 am, 12:00 noon, 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm Rome time (UTC+1), so I am gathering that means 1:30, 3:00, 8:30 and 10:00 pm where you are. They will probably have the same feed tomorrow.

You’re welcome. I was going to an all-day computer class, but I’m home recovering from the flu so I’m glued to CNN (I don’t get EWTN). Good night!

Thanks for the link, got it here at home now, and hope the internet is running again at work tomorrow so I can ‘favourite’ it there too.
Thanks for the times as well, I had found those and made a note of when to check to see if the smoke was white yet.

Go to the “watch live” area at the bottom right and you will be good to go.

Peace,
Thank you for that link too, also saved and hope I can get it at work too.

Not nice to have the flu, but what an opportunity 😉

Yes, it has been nice to be able to watch TV. I am feeling better today so I am up a bit more.

I go back to work April 15 when I start a new seasonal job, so I have a few weeks at home. I hope to get out tomorrow or the next day to get some grocery shopping and such done, but I’ll watch TV when I can.

Black smoke again so no pope. I read on CNN.com that the next smoke is expected about 12:30 pm Eastern time. The cardinals are now at lunch.

I would keep an eye out from noon on. This morning’s smoke was “early”.
Thanks. I am going grocery shopping today but otherwise will be home. My flu is gone but I don’t want to push it–and I also don’t want to miss the smoke.

I read on the Traditional Catholicism forum that Cardinal Burke’s odds have improved. That was interesting.
