Thanks for your recommendation. My grandson will be 9 in October. I have seen that Bible version and it does seem appropriate for that age.Depending on her reading level, she may like this one. It’s a classic at this point. It’s not quite a bible per se, in that it’s not chapter-and-verse, but it does a very, very good job of telling the books of the bible as stories. The writing is highly literate. As it happens, I had a copy as a child of about her age, and it’s what got me interested in the bible as such because I simply enjoyed reading it. Lest that make me sound terribly devout, I assure you I wasn’t! I just liked to read, and that was a good book.
